I have no clue where to post this, so I'll just try it here.
What conditions do I have to meet to become an official PlaneShift musician?
Is there an age limit?
Is there some kind of qualifying examination?
I am really interested in writing music for PlaneShift. I'd say I'm a rather experienced composer although I'm only 16.
The problem is, am I allowed to use Fruity Loops Studio? If not, what else may I use?
If you wish, I can put links to some of my music here to show you how qualified at least I think my skills are.
I've used this rather formal language only because I don't want to be called a noob or something. It's not like I spoke like that all the time^^

yes there is an age limit, 18 iirc. mostly for legal reasons. you sign over copyright for works that get accepted to abc. but you do get to keep portfolio rights for the works. which is industry standard btw.

in terms of an exam it is the usual audition. you show them your work and they will  say yea or nay.

in terms of software it doesn't matter too much i think just as long as it can spit out wav/mp3/ogg. but the music folk will prbably be able to answer better.

newskies:  I would go to the IRC fan channel and speak to XilliX.  I don't want to give wrong information, but I believe I've seen people use Fruity Loops for PS music.

Neko:  I'm not too sure I agree, this section has always been about PlaneShift-the-engine and not the content.

Thanks for your help guys but I think I won't have a chance yet to officially compose music for PS, since I am born two years too late. Man, my sentences are long sometimes. I guess I'll have to wait two years... But that's what I feared and why I asked.
Anyways, I think the music already existing for PS is awesome, btw.

If you're talented and really want to contribute it doesn't hurt to poke Xil or Talad on IRC anyway - good luck :)
