I did an Informal Survey. Thank you to all that responded. Please feel free to add anything else you wish. Here some of the results:
1 What keeps you coming back to planeshift day after day?
gwinn and eid is what makes me keep comin back
Not sure. It could be the unique environment(community, in-game levels and places, settings and RP) Maybe its some of my old/new friends. Another reason is the city-design contest. Id like to contribute something to PS, but again lack of time stops me from doing much. Id also like to contribute location ideas and concepts, not polygonal models that are so dearly needed and i hate to do.
The community...definitely.
My Guild Members and especially RPing with them. Yet there are some other RPers I love to RP with too.
-The pride and satisfaction of seeing others' work and my own put to good use. The relativelymature and intelligent level of the community. I cannot stress that enough - the folks here comprise one of the best internet communities I have seen anywhere, bar none.
The community and the friends I have made throughout the time I've been a member of PS.
- Being with my friends, meeting new ones and looking for news... There are always problems, here
Friends, addiction, curiousity, small things I like to do and see ingame
Imperial Trades (guild) leadership and crafting.
I enjoy the roleplay opportunities and the creative aspects of the game and its development.
Quests are interesting, and everyone replies to the chat
Mostly, my IG friends and the hope that someone fixes the economy (make things easier), as well as the discovery of new stuff.. As side note, not long ago, it was also for there was a much more active environment.
The community and the role play atmosphere.
The potential, though sometimes I think I come back just to see how they (the developers) have shot themselves in the foot this time. For every thing they fix, they seem to break a few more. Overall, I like the system as it's designed and what I think is intended to be. I like the complexity that is growing and PS is a game that I intend to keep watching and playing on and off as it develops. It's also a game I can play on Linux native and I do my best to support open source development.
The Dark Empire and the people of that guild mostly.
Honestly, I'm not sure. I have a lot of running projects that keep me busy, and this is one of only 2 games I play. I guess I come back because I can interact with smart and funny people that don't act like idiots half the time. Simply sitting around, I can find something to do, and PlaneShift is very good at eating time that I need to kill.
the roleplay experience and great, open community
Partly it's the new things to discover when they are added. Partly it's because I tend to get hooked
on exactly one computer game and it was the only 3d graphic MMORPG for linux.
The Dark Empire organization.
Um... I did leave the game... But have come back
emphasis on actual RP
Friends made while playing.
New features allowing better role-play.
The games whole atmosphere and setting which is very much unique in my eyes.
The vision of the game... What I believe it wants to be.. no. What it will be, is becoming. I love the depth of the world... and how much deeper it gets every day.
The chance to do anotehr Rp and expand on my character
RP RP RP.
RPing is what keeps me coming back day after day. If I just want a new places to hang out I'll move to another country in RL. This gives me a chance to do things and interact with people who I would never be able to in RL.
I like roleplaying and meeting the people I got to know by playing. I also run a guild. Developing the guild and my char helps me relaxing from RL.
I love being able to create and challenge others in creativity of Role Play.
-Mainly friends(community) and Roleplay. Additionally quests, training...
2 What would make you not keep coming back to the game?
the dev/gm team has and prolly will several times make me think bout leaving by either being rude, or just making one poor choice after another
Collapse of community.
I -almost- left once..a few months ago when all these "RP is dead" threads started cropping up. I would log in and couldn't find anyone i knew to RP with. Honestly, i would probably leave if all my "friends" quit.
Several things have to go wrong for that. There are those who don't care for RP at all.. even playing against RP with their behaviour (eg: the swords aren't invisible if they hold them in their hands). RPers believing they're superior, thus think they have all right to disrupt other's RP (which they aren't even partaking) with their OOC comments.
Yet the reason which holds me stands.
I'd need some replacement which fullfills all my RPing-desires. But this doesn't exist... yet.
-A radical departure of ideals between myself and project authorities. IE, when the game ceases to be a source of enjoyment.
Lack of development especially in questing and NPC interactions, lack of items available by NPC, like basic weapons
- Health problems, maybe computer problems, too. Sometimes I have to fix a bit of things .. But I think that while I am at home I'll always be on PS, too.
Ignorance (Of players and devs), arrogance (of players and devs), boredom as only ingame reason
Hmm... Death of roleplay, I suppose. Though rp-fanatics would too. People should learn how to use both.
Primarily, I would be kept away from Planeshift by conflicts in real life or inability to access Planeshift due to errors. However, I think these would be delays, not finalizing endings. I do not see anything completely destroying my interest in Planeshift at this point.
I got really tired of the whole RPGer Pwrlvler conflict. We seem to be saying the same things over and over again, yet people still stereotype and discriminate the same way.
1. A wipe-out. 2. If they keep the settings as they are or tighten them.. 3. If the game keeps leaning to the fairytopia(tm) style.
Lack of role-play or interest
Bugs and quite frankly, the hostile nature of the community. There is such strict rules on what a player can do inside and outside of the game that it makes it hard to keep coming back when you know you're only going to get beat up for participating. There are other games and communities with much better atmosphere.
Roleplay disappearing.
2 things. Life in general, in that I get incredibly busy for about 5 months of the year. The other is that my buddy list slowly drains out. It's a lot of work to keep green names on it, and I find that it is difficult to replace old personalities and friends with new ones that I am unfamiliar with.
the lack of actions and well stuff ingame. predominantly the extremely weak spell system
I do wonder if it will hold my interest once it gets to the point where (for example) I've discovered
all the spells if there are no new areas to explore. If a new version of nethack comes out,
planeshift could loose me. Essentially, a lack of development at a point where something else
competes for my interest.
Planeshift refusing to correct the current moronic Quest system and the current training system. Also, if DE ceased to exist.
The RP mostly. I left because of RL and a sudden fall in PS RPers at about 0.3.18
as above a lack of RP and RL getting in the way. I found it very dihearting when the dev team reset the money and removed or reset many weapons as I was a trader and 2/3 or more of my stock just vanished or devalued.
Inconsistencies which made RP cumbersome, which wouldn't promise proper fixing. PS is still alpha, beta, or whatever.
Are you kidding?, one does not leave PlaneShift, if anything PlaneShift leaves one's self on its own accord.
If it turned into a bunch of minigames. But seriously, it would probably have to be if the RP aspect of the game seemed to leave. And if the game sticks to it's course, that's not likely to happen.
If people you know left or a bug got in the way, or if if just got boring...
Well, I was out of game for a while. windows vista simply would not run the game. Other than that, There would have to be absolutely no RP or the game would have to be completely nonfunctional. Most of us who enjoy RP can manage around glitches and bugs and still enjoy the game. To be honest some of the glitches become endearing.
And I get to be a cat person instead of a human.
Deletion of my char would make the decision difficult. Also extreme game developments like focusing only on PLing or RPing.
If Role Play were to be lost.
Client unstability + bugs (But I'm aware of version of ps, so accepting it)
-OOC levelers, like those who are able to spend unrealistic ammount of time with their characters by training.
Flamers in comunity
-PvP system, which is way too related to connection quality (ping, packetloss)
3 If you could make any one change to the game what would you do, and why?
any change to the game lemme see....nothing because one change wont help anything, many changes are needed. better magic- better shortcuts, better ways of training, less time spent clicking the same two buttons to gain one point in a skill, and more time RP and leveling
Change the way resources are gathered. I have a few undeveloped ideas in mind, but nothing concrete. The current system feels too much like farming. Thats the first one that comes to mind, there is probably something more important. Actually, its not just gathering, but all systems that improve the character in terms of numbers in the database. There is no need of strategy or planning in anything that has to do with the game mechanics, yet they are so complex and hard to figure out. Figuring them out might be more fun, than actually using them, but it might stop many new players. I definitely wouldn't even consider playing, if i was new to this game. Earning more form quest and events would be nice. Powerquesing
I would fix that stupid bug that makes me not able to get to BD or the arena >.>
Only one? Have to be more general then: Make it more RPers friendly.
Less general: Remove training the way it is. There are dozens of games for grinding, a game focusing on RP shouldn't be among them. Add things people can actually RP with, apart from happy sunshine land Yliakum. Leaving more freedom than saying "they live happily together" in happy Yliakum sunshine land.
-Completely revise how art assets (for races) are used in-game. I'm sorry to say that this is one of the most ridiculously wasteful applications of character art I've ever seen.
Create a storing facility which is save. I have done a lot of questing and keep on creating characters so I can store the quest items for future purposes with them. But it makes it quite difficult if one has to start a 2nd client to do transfers.
Also the ability to personalize the look of Character - maybe be able to choose the colour of armour.
- Well, surely there could be something that should be changed... Maybe the hours when events are done! Ok, joking.
I think that the worst thing on PS are bugs. I'd like to fix them.. in some place in Hydlaa, as example, you fall down at the end of the world. I simply hate them.
Organisational changes if that counts because in my eyes is the organisation (and resulting things) the main problem of planeshift
If the previouis does not count I'd introduce more non-combat things and skills like clothing and hiding in the dark
Uh.. Progressive Points. Because they're simply not realistic. It makes little sense that if I never went to the kitchen and cooked I could use some sort of experience from other fully unrelated skills to level up faster.
I am content with the game as it is and the rate of progression. I wouldn't make any changes.
I would balance the level system more, and find some way RPGing benefits your character. If WE have the benefit of having fun sitting in a tavern drinking in rl, shouldnt there be some equivilent benefit for a character?
-I'd revise the death routine.(get rid of challenge, penalty. Respawn at nearby spots). Because challenge and fight system became a 'hobby' within the game. challenges should be fatal so ppl take them seriously. The penalty is for what?.. to avoid suicide??.. To avoid ppl taking advantage to short distances??.. Just let chars die and respawn nearby. that'll solve the whole issue.
-I'd revise the whole exchange prices, system or whatever: 'economy'. We keep hearing about leveling 'stabilizing' the so called economy.. the concept is wrong. There is no economy system in PS.. just a flow of tria from and endless source to a bottomless pit. I don't understand what they mean, really.. what I see is that economy is being used to supposedly enforce RP but it did more damage than good in the end.. why can't some people just take a couple steps back?..
-END THE "ROLEPLAYING ORIENTED" CRAP!!!! Delete the 'for rp only' from everywhere!!! I love to roleplay but let's face it! PLANESHIFT IS NOT A ROLEPLAY ONLY GAME!. Just put something like ..'this is a game open for rpers, as well as lvlrs, etc...' this way, the debate will be over and ppl will feel more free.
think I'd go with clothes--hats, capes, different shirts..not just armor..but diffrent looking things or maybe even more hairstyles..just so that people can be more individual and not so repetitive.
Probably revamp the stamina system. I've posted on this a few times, as have others. I love the fact that they put stamina into the game, but it's just too punishing on the player, especially new or weaker characters. Either that or make magic a bit more viable. I haven't found magic to be worth the effort yet, though I may just need more time with it.
Get rid of the progression point system and needing experience to buy training.
Change something? Besides the bugs, I guess I'd like to see death expanded upon, as well as alternate ways to make enough money to train besides mining and killing Ulbers.
expand the spell system. but if that doesn't count as a 'change' then make the practice points needed for each rank of a skill constant. needing 5 bijillion practice points to level up magic is ridiculous and unnecessary grinding.
I would make it less grindy. There's a lot of hanging around doing boring things for a long time in
order to advance your skills, which is necessary to be able to do things like try out spells.
Perhaps allowing command scripts for the drudgery would be an acceptable compromise.
I'd change the progression system, just by removing the Progression Points. Because it makes no sense that my character has to either mine or slay monsters to train his intelligence, magic, etc.
I think I would make the spawn points for NPCs random also and there HPs and other stats. This one thing would stop camping and would lead to a much more real enviroment to play in. This has been discussed before.
100000% more competence between players and mechanics supporting cooperation everywhere where possible. For joy
The layout of Hydlaa.
The arena needs to be moved further away from Hydlaa.
I would fix the character models that needed it, and make all the ones the missing ones.. because I think it's needed eventually, and want to help, and know I probably could.
Thing is, it would just take ages, and I'm a bit too young to sign up anyway... (That and I can't think of anything more substantial for this question.)
I would find some way to make the game run faster
What I would do is have more background and information on specifics of the in game world. Specifics on the culture of each race. Actual spell books in the magic shop that give more detail regarding Glyphs and their use and combinations for spells. with out outside information this information is nonexistent. This makes for fantastical RP that is down right frustrating for most players.
I would also Undo the waiting period required for some quests. Many people do quests in groups of two or more. Having to wait 15-20 min in game for your companions is a real pain. Many of us have limited in game time. I tend to avoid these quests regardless of the reward.
What would make me leave is if RP was completely gone. The game isn't well developed enough to where you could just spend your time doing everything but RPing. If there was no RP I would go play another game that is past beta and has more interesting things to do or see. But I wouldn't play it as much as I play PS now.
Including PVP to RP. Like more PVP zones, duel countdown and group fights. (everything already proposed in bugtracker, by the way)
I don't care to comment on that, as the game is ever changing - but I would like to see more places.
-Way to encourage (or even force in gentle way) RPing. Xillix got my idea about a way how to do that already. (additional stats, which will drain slower then regular ones, but will take more time to regenerate, actualy forcing players to do something else for a while then one repeated action for unrealistic long time.) *against hard PLers, RP encouragement*
-More obvious warning (even in game, for example in tutorial) about early developement state of game. *more understanding from new players towards game*
-Balanced armors, weapons (avoiding the usuall: Light armor=noob, Heavy armor=boss)
4 What would you like to see done to make more players keep playing?
i would like to see more skills put into the game and the ones in already to be fully implemented
I have no idea. Make players feel loved?
I would like to see players make more of an effort to make events themselves instead of whining about lack thereof.
My ideas would likely make a bunch of people leave. But it may attract others. Having conflicts.. other than monsters threatening citizen, or a pack of rogues, whatever. Politically, maybe even conflicts among races. (It's not real, it's a game.)
Two things:
-Monthly or quarterly "Player Events." For a set period of time, the community will suggest Game Event plots. These must meet all existing Settings lore and criteria, and after weeding out the out-of-settings suggestions, GMs and Devs come to an agreement and pick a "winner" - the winning event is then put into use with full GM support.
-"Player Event of the Month": existing player events highlighted in the forum as an example of good RP, use of Settings, or other notably good qualities. These should not be viewed asendorsed by Settings, so much as standards of whatever quality they praise, be it RP, thoroughness of plot, player participation, or what-have-you.
->Either or both of these reinforce RP and encourage players to include each other in their interactions. It also gives players a chance to feel like they are making a visible impact on the game world and should their Event get picked for either, something to feel proud of.
Excellent question.
Inactivity of NPC and also the lack of loot makes people frustrated. I'd love to see more NPC in the countryside, perhaps even let them change position - for instance Brigand, so people keep on searching and at the same time investigate the country side more, instead of mining all the time.
- More events, maybe organized by players, too. Do you remember the Summer Festival? I think that it was great
Apart of the ignorance and arrogance point from before that might have a minor influence I don't know a way how to do that.
I see PP as the main problem at the moment. Otherwise, the game develops and will eventually have enough features that will attract and keep people in the game. Though I must state that the magic of PS is it's potential roleplay value that I've seen no other game have. Again, I'm in no fashion supporting rp-extremists, if they want to invent things using just the settings and ignoring the game mechanics, they should just go ahead and play a table-top rp with PS settings.
Keep the environment engaging and friendly, be polite and helpful, promote good role play and cooperate with developers and GMs. Largely, the continuation of the game is dependent upon the attitude and effort of the players.
A more open view to people completely new to roleplaying, and a system that encourages and rewards roleplaying, because there are rewards in real-life for acting in a way that fit the culture as well
-Elliminate the forced tutorial. Dunno if they already did this but if not, HURRY!
-Give more extensive 'kick-in-goodies'. Noobs are raw poor and their start is too steep uphill.
-The game is losing 'action', 'vertigo'. (read the final notes)
-Implement the cooler things first. Oh, yeah!.. cooking is soo cool! (bah!).. I RATHER HAVE LOCKPICKING, etc..
-Burst the protective bubble! Punish the characters: All game characters should be hurt in some way and with some frequency so the player is forced to recover it's char. That's how all games work.
More Supervision and consistency from the GM team. (in other words more GM's online more often)
I would get the developers off the forums and get them out of the loop of interacting with the community. Work on building a community where people can get excited about the game, not beat up newbies for maybe posting something that's been heard before just because they got carried away in their excitement. The developers are too close to their product and take things too personally. Let people post ideas and discuss things, even its completely nuts. The dev's don't have to jump into a flame war every time something gets posted they don't like. It does not help one bit knowing that if I log on, find a problem, try to post on it or post a bug report, that I'll get involved in some long drawn out discussion about how I can't possibly be right about what I am experiencing or if it's a bug.
Oh, and spend more time fixing existing problems instead of adding more content that just adds more bugs. Content shouldn't be released until the existing bugs are worked out. Just my opinion on that one.
One last thing, though I know you only asked for one. The quest system. Something needs to be done about the text line interface. That is going to turn off people left and right. As lame as it is, we've become a point and click world and other games just have much friendlier quest systems. If PS insists on staying with the text based one, I would suggest an auto-type feature that fills in words as the player types. This would help newbies learn the lore and help them with the spelling of very vague words.
Nothing really, I have no problem with people leaving. Everyone just has to enjoy themselves and not all people can do that together so some will find enjoyment elsewhere.
Tie them down at their computers. I think the only real thing that stops long time members from playing is real life conflicts.
implement more features is pretty much it. Lots of events. Possibly large global events that change the course of the world like a seige of gungrontid (that actually isn't thwarted like the one attack of Ojaveda some time ago).
Make it less grindy as above. Make the magic system more interesting and useful. Make
it easier to get from place to place. Add some level of personalization: clothing, faces, houses,
for example.
Fix the damned Quest system. It makes no sense to play a role play game where you can't tell your adventures (quests) to your friends, because they probably did the same exact "unique" thing.
ban their wives from playing NWN on the computer
other that that this is a hard one... the more players that stay the more players will stay as the world will be better to play in with mor interaction and RP
PS isn't the only thing to suffer this problem, just look at Secondlife that grew massively and was in the media every-other week, now it has slowed down and I haven't heard a peep in the media for ages.
Im not sure there is any more that can be done that hasnt already, but I do what I can to encourage players.
More, more, more GM events. xD They are great, and a great way to get people involved with each other and the PS world. Good stuff, guys.
Have MANY more events for new and old players
Of course RP events. And not just events created by the GM's Player events.
as well. It would be lovely if a player as an idea for an RP event if they would be able to present their idea to the GM team, if say they need something outside of the normal realm of what a player could do. For example an NPC to speak or an Item to be locked in place. If a player has a good idea and it doesn't take up too many resources it might encourage player rp if that little extra touch could be added.
The only change I would make it to have it finished and out of beta, but only time will change that.
More consistency when dealing with violation of rules/settings. More GMs online observing that.
I think this is already being addressed well by XilliX and the team.
-Most players are imho discouraged by lack of implemented stuff and bugs. Nothing much what can be done instantly.
-Trying to keep community strong, and game interface user-friendly for handle.
-There is too strong competition from other games in pure leveling MMO. Concentration on RPing and unusual/rare aspects may bring some players.
5 What thing (settings, engine, art, rules) do you think has changed in the game that you would like to see return?
i dont want anything to return the way it was, change is great
I cant think of much. Id like Hydlaa to either get fixed(like reduce 1m big steps on stairs) or reverted back to the original state. Boonet was a genius, i want him back too. Crystal hunting was nice and relaxing, not as boring as /digging. At least you had one more reason to fully explore the gaming world and not sit in the same place and meet other people on the way, not sit in the same place all the time.
I miss the sticky wall bug...so we could climb rooftops...
unlimited /setskill. Unrealistically strong NPCs which are a playable race.
-Silly as it sounds, I miss the climbing. The game was more fun when I could go exploring and scale dangerous terrain. There was a certain skill to it, and a sense of accomplishment in getting to wherever you were headed.
Climbing - it was a challenge for some. Also, since it is not possible anymore it makes getting up ladders more difficult. Jumping itself has almost become useless - the hight one was able to jump was better in previous versions.
- I've been a good "roof-runner", and I think that they should bring us back the ability to jump as once. I hate that I cannot jump anymore on the high tents
I'm comfortable with changes.
Hm? Nothing I can see, other than PP implementation .
Again, I'm content with the current state of things. I trust the developers to use their best judgment.
I'd like to see a higher arc in jumping, even without climbing up walls that werent meant to be climbed
-Ok, this may sound a little weird but ... Do bugs really kill the game?.. I mean, I know there are many abuses around the whole thing but... are they that bad?.. Did they really discouraged players?.. I mean, the whole bug issue could be re-engineered into something worthy of discovering.. How fast does a bug spreads?.. how many ppl get connected with eachother just because of a bug?.. How many chars had to engage in group activities, communicate, share info, etc.. because of a bug?.. Just keep in mind that those bugs were not the easiest to learn, yet their mechanism revealed a huge opportunity to insert more interesting things in the game. I can only see advantages..
-BURST THE BUBBLE! Let people be robbed, killed, attacked, etc. BY OTHER PLAYERS!
Not sure that there is one really...
Not sure how to answer that. I can't think of anything that was removed that I missed, so I think I would just like to see a rewrite of the website lore/settings that includes all the information that seems to be hidden in forum posts or in-game, such as how Lannx became a man.
The "anti-kill steal" concept, back when people could fight together without grouping and getting shared loot and xp. At least then you had roleplay situations in combat, now they're gone.
I liked the introduction system. If it could be cleaned and debugged, I'd like to see it back.
I liked the introduce system personally, but apparently many didn't.
You used to speak to an NPC if they were targeted, and I've never gotten used to the change to
having to use the NPC tab. I'm generally happy with the development of the game. I'd like to
see a preference that allows you to control the conversation targeting behaviour.
Nothing. Nothing at all.
flying and or the supper jump bugs.
Only minor issues, which i can't keep track of.
Some broken "promises" which would be cool if implemented, but in the end looking different
I greatly miss the old fireplace area in Hydlaa's tavern. It was so atmospheric and perfect for gathering people around for telling tales, adventures and times long since passed.
Well, nothing that I have noticed has changed for the worse... I can't think of... oh wait! Crystal hunting! That was epic fun. Nothing better than wondering around, minding your own business, then suddenly, "WOAH!" There's a crystal over there! Score!
None!
The game constantly changes. Each change takes some adjustment, But all in all I think it is getting better. I would not want to go backwards.
What is new that you like the most and why?
I like the new quests. The older quests are awkward to complete and the NPC speak was a nightmare. and to be honest a bit boring. The new quests are fun to do. The npc speak is much better and the quests are well written and entertaining. Some are down right gut busters. It really ads flavor and interest to the in game world.
There isn't much I would bring back either... well, maybe the old death realm with the easier to get to respawn portal.
Lag-free and bug-free dueling. Less maps.
Nothing - going backwards is not an option.
-Taking clothes as Light Armor skill (or implementing no armor skill)
6 What is new that you like the most and why?
nothing is really all that new, even the areas we go now were there befor we just couldnt get to them. so nothing
Books and maps are awesome, other new things are just the same as in other games.
That GMs now play guards. (at least to them, people HAVE to listen) Brilliant. The last event (night rogue), gave even totally common people a chance to play their role, yet taking part.
-Toss up between Gugrontid and the Nolth femmes. Both show the game making visible progress towards completion, and while I think the races need finishing more, the most important thing is showing that the project is moving ahead.
New areas to explore (campsite) I'd love to see more development in that.
- Maybe new armors. Maybe soon will be created other clothing. I hope that they will keep working on it.
Cooking because it is a non-combat thing a player can do
Cooking. Because it's another new "crafting" skill implemented and I've only heard good things about how it was done, keep up the good work in that front, please.
New areas and new art, because they enrich the environment, also better mechanics, because they facilitate the enjoyable experiencing of the new environment.
I like the fact that most quests are challenging enough that you need to figure them out, but dont require an insane amount of guessing at the right wording anymore
-The new places, animations, magics (tho I can't make enough tria to achieve them), metals, cooking, etc.. almost all that's new is most welcome as long as it doesn't affect my char's abilities of being 'natural'
.
The new race models, simply because it gives more of a variety to the game and more individualism
Well, I was pretty impressed with Falcons Watch(?) over at the Bronze Doors when I finally found it. I was very impressed with the feeling of scale it brought me. I felt like I was really in a massive cavern. Of the last upgrade, I didn't see much in it that impressed me, and after I realized how badly it broke stamina, making it even worse, I lost interest. I think the biggest change over the years that I've seen was the addition of combat. To be honest, though, nothing is new in PS that I haven't seen done better elsewhere, but I keep hoping that there will be changes to make it worth playing more regularly. I really want to like PS, I just find it too frustrating to be involved in it for any length of time.
The speed at which the settings team gets more background info into the game.
Books! Now a lot can be written, and then copied! I've been able to make decent money selling books, and am still working on magazines.
Working quests, and more of them. This means that there is always something to do in the
game.
New spells and glyphs are a close second.
The members that have recently (1 or 2 years from now) joined the Empire.
Guild halls and working containers
Loads
Dakkrus Curse – Makes these fools think twice before entering the Death realm or using it as a shortcut.
Guild Houses – Gives a stronger sense of control and power to players as well as adding a whole new role-playing element.
That I like the most? Hmm... probably, I would have to saaay... actually, I really have no idea. EVERYTHING!
I cant put a name to anything as i like most things
I like the new quests. The older quests are awkward to complete and the NPC speak was a nightmare. and to be honest a bit boring. The new quests are fun to do. The npc speak is much better and the quests are well written and entertaining. Some are down right gut busters. It really ads flavor and interest to the in game world.
I like cooking since it goes well with my main character's RP and it provides another craft since for so long there was only smelting and you couldn't make all the weapons you can now.
Non-lethal duels. It contributes to roleplay. You can train and have non-lethal fights. Also the appearance of guards was a great idea.
The new additions to the lands and more props to use in RP. They enhance my RP.
-A lot of funny, enjoyable quests.
-Introduction system gone
-Most of the implemented stuff actually
I absolutely LOVE the blackflame temple and all the quests to get there. It was the most involved set of quests i have ever done, and the end result was amazing.
