Well...I thank you for helping me with my first problem...but now I've discovered another. When I run the client, it says that openAL32.dll isn't found, so I looked up the fixes to this problem, the most prominent being "run the updater" opon doing that I find out that updaterinfo.xml is inactive, so I follow the steps to fix that...I try changing to to true, failed. Tryed getting a new copy..failed. I need a little help here. It just seems like one problem after another  :@#\

if you are on vista check out
reinstall ps outside the program files folder and do the above again.

Hi! Please help if you can. I have been reading all the forum posts I can find tonight about updater glitches, but I don't see one like mine, so here goes, please! I'm not much of a techie- thank you for walking me through this if you would.
I have windows XP, not vista

I downloaded the new programs today

Tried to launch the game, and got 3 times the same error message, below. So I:

opened the updaterinfo.xml
   there was no <false> to change to <true>
ran the updater- it loaded updates, success.
ran the "c:\program files\planeshift steel blue\psupdater.exe" CheckIntegrity
All files passed the check.

and still I get this message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
program C:\program files\Plane Shift Steel Blue\psclient.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call

Please any ideas? Thank you. Sleep well.
Oh, I am Roled.
