Now the chaos is perfect. Ten minutes ago, I have startet my client, and now after the server was off. The client says to me that I not run the right version, and I must run the updater.

Which updater must I run. You know, that  the MacPPC has problems with the updater of 2008-08-04.  I already told.

For remembering:
My Mac:

Mac PPC G4, 1GHZ Processing, 2 GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro with 256 MB VRAM.

Is this the finish for me with Planeshift?

the same updater you have currently will work fine to update you to the new client, but the ppc map loading bugs are _not_ fixed in this update.

which updater must I take?
The updater which is with the version 4.01?
Or must I downöoad this Updater from 2008-08-04, which has  made, that my client didn´t start. I have  deleted it from my Computer.

And must I do also the changes, which I had to do with 4.01.

Sorry, but I am not a good programmer, I use the programms.

if you have already edited the updaterinfo.xml file then no other changes are required.

now the client is open. I try what I can do and what I cannot do. Do you know, if the devs do fix the maploading problems for the PPC Macs? It would be very important, and friendly.

so and now I  say the first thing what not is changed with the update:

The client freezes and freeze all the computer, that I must shut off with the powerbutton.

This Bug is not fixed.


I tell you, Its very very hard to hold on the patience to play Planeshift. The guild in which I am, is the only reason, why I am yet in PS. If I don`t have this friends, I have already finished the game. because its horrible, what I must suffer with it.

I hope you understand what I mean. Its hard to translate it in english.

it is not that the devs dont care about bugs, and this specific one. It is the devs are very busy with rl and other things. This specific bug can only be fixed by one person who has the ability to test and fix it. So the fix will take time as this one person is very busy with rl. I know this is not the best we could have hoped for but till we get more devs working on ps that have all types of systems the longer it will take to get bugs fixed.

But now I have had the third "Freeze" within this short time I have installed the updating. It´s got more horrible. From version to version more horrible. Why? This is this what I cannot understand. A thing what has gone good, became so horrible.

I only stand and fight with a npc and then freezes the client with all the computer.

I begin to think, if it will be a danger for my other programms.
