If that be the case blinkster, then I know I personally wouldnt mind. :)  Even if I had to redo the tutorial, I'd still hop right in. :P   And with all the wandering around we new players do, it probably wouldnt take me even 30 mins now to do what it took me two - three days to do before lol  ;D

IF they have to use that backup your account will be lost.  But only having a week on there won't take long to catch up right?

My account is way old, but my character was started right before the crash or whatever we want to call it.  A week wouldn't take long to catch up to where you were.  Plus, everyone will be behind, not just you.  Nothing big.

Lol, they can take labor day if they want. :P  At least the Planeshift team.  Seriously.  Enjoy this strange American Holiday about working and don't work.  Lol.

Edit: They have a map somewhere, I don't remember where.  Some are in the US of A, and some are over elsewhere in the world.  I think from what I remember that more are elsewhere.  It doesn't matter though, as they don't really have the server in front of them to do anything about it.  It's a server that's location has been stated several times, which is not in the US.  So yeah, I think they will get to it today, once the time is right.  Lol, it's still Sunday for me though, so yeah....

I believe the server farm is in Singapore so we've got a good chance they'll be working on it today

This is a funny 'coincidence'... Just today my school's server went down, along with our power. Perhaps all the servers of the world will go down, one by one! Beware! It's a conspiracy! Ahh! :o

Yup. Either these servers are being sucked into mini black holes, or have decided to take part in a time travel experience. Either way, we're doomed...  :(

Well, I waited for the server to start up, then I waited some more...
Then I decided to try and compile PS.
Then I started my own server.
Then I made a screenshot :-D

I know the discussion about losing a week is just a worst case scenario.. but ugh.  I spent Monday, Tuesday (all day, like 16 hours each) and about 5 hours every night, plus the previous weekend training... like a fiend.  I will be praying that the database is not lost. I agree that a week is better than a year.. or a wipe... but ugh.  I hope we don't lose the week nonetheless.

course it is what it is., eh?
