The website that tells the server status
« on: September 01, 2008, 03:30:58 pm »
Sorry but I just really can't find anything that tells me the name of the site that says whether the server is up and working or not.  I've been having update problems but I'm finally all up to date  \\o//.

But it still says the server (fragnetics) is down.  I don't know if this is ME (since I was having difficulties before) or if the server is down for everyone.  Especially since I haven't seen anyone else make posts asking about the server.  I figured the best way to check was by going to the site.  So what's the link?  :sweatdrop:

Yay!  Thanks you for telling me!  ;D

And thanks for being nice about it instead of biting my head off for not being vigilant and seeing the tread in the first place.

and to answer your question about what is the site to check if it is up or down, try http://laanx.fragnetics.com/index.php?page=stats

note it will not work right now, as it is down!  but a nice site to know.  Also available if you go to planeshift homepage, expand all, and look for "server status" in left menu. (in case you need to find the link again, eh?)

note the graph (which will be at the bottom when it works) also gives you death rates and birth rates.  When this is working right (almost always) it is the quickest way of telling if the mob is up (npc server some call it)

(note for the trolls; quickest assuming you are walking up to your computer and you want to check quickly, and if they are not going to be up, you might go do the dishes or something and come back later... without logging in.  Of course if you are logged in and in the sewers, for example, it would be quicker to check the status on a rat or something... but I find the site is faster even than going to IRC and bothering people there or logging in just to check!)
