What happens if you delete your account: Can someone else use your name?

I think you mean delete your character, but the answer is the same, yes if you delete then you give up any rights to that name

Yes it does and I sometimes wish we did have an anti-stupidity policy but then I'd fall foul of that pretty often too :p

IIRC there used to be a "no stupid names" rule as sort of a catch-all.  But it looks like it was replaced with "The Game Master (GM) Team reserves the right to change any name that could be considered unsuitable but doesn’t violate any of the aforementioned terms."  Which I have to say is better stated
