Can neither play -or- update

the updaterinfo.xml file ALWAYS included in the release, and considering that the release packages have not changed in months i dont see how it could go missing. if you dont show file extenstions the file will be named updaterinfo without the .xml and if you download a copy of it you DONT have to edit it, but then again that is NOT in the directions that i gave in the sticky.

Thats the thing, there is NO updaterinfo.xml file with the latest default installation... this has nothing to do with file extensions or hidden/system files (I already checked that), it has to do with a missing file. When your directions reference a file that is not there then your directions went right out the window.

That is why we are posting this here to let the developers know that there is a problem during the installation process that is not placing certain files needed into any game related folder

yeah... Caarrie, could you try downloading the xml file and finding the line <config = false> or whatever for us?
