I think it is quite lovely. Especially when I'm mutilated by gory undead creatures.  :)

 :lol: What's not to enjoy? You've got a library, quiet, places to hide out when your not feeling social and it is a great place to stay cool on hot days. Lets not forget all the pretty designs in the rooms that reside in the DR.

Alot of players complain about it but I don't think it is the Death Relam that helps those complaints .... just the penalty when leaving the Death Relam. My thoughts ...... GET OVER IT ALREADY! :P

The dr penalty does exactly what it was meant to do. makes everyone think twice. We all take death more seriously. I like the idea even though I have been bit in the arse by it more than once. hehe

The curse is hardly a penalty, and no deterrent at all from risking one's life.
The real penalty is to have to redo all this running to the other end of the known world, knowing you have a good chance to die again just before you reach it. And since Yliakum gets bigger, I know that is THE reason why I will quit PS one day, out of frustration.

Apart form that, the DR is nice. Best looking map after the BG, imo. It's also the most crowded one, however, so it's not so quiet, and it doesn't have too many places to hide when you want to be left alone.
Ah, and best map for the sound, as well.

Considering how many people just pass through, there are a few places to hide that someone that just wants to get outta' there wouldn't be likely to go (unless they're new and get hopelessly lost like I used to. Good times).

Personally, I rather like the map itself, but the only part my character is particularly fond of so far is the library. That might change if I catch some more RP down there. Hint, hint ;D

the death penalty is fine ,

it's just infuriating when no game masters are on
and using /die is your only solution to where you got stuck D:

The place is fun , you get to train death magic , Kill your sell repeatidly and poke and prod some nasty beasts.
not to mention the handy buyer that you start next to :)

the scenery is great , there is mayb 3 corners that the modeling could be smoothed out

and that first ladder needs a slight tweak

I just know in my mind there's more to do there but everytime I end up there I just head straight for the portal home. Last time I spent time there was to get to the library to progress in a quest.

I need to try and immerse myself more next time I'm there....

the effect the added to the dark crystal has ruined the laglessness of DR for me >.<
Its quite annoying trying to run down a bridge with holes and places to get stuck wile been lagged

but its worth it for teh dark magic's XD
