The Traitors’ Story (Or Why Takhi, Phinneas and Amaneldth Left Pax Amor)
Phinneas and Amaneldth Protalis and Takhi Hartt arrive at the heart of the volcano.
Takhi: So, tell me why i'm here?
Amaneldth: i heard, Takhi...that there is some loot the Velnishi's are giving up
Amaneldth: i thought we could kill some and see if we can get something special
Phinneas: Really?
Amaneldth nods
Takhi shrugs. Sure, why not?
Amaneldth: let's check it out
Amaneldth: with your luck, you'll probably get a sed.
Takhi giggles
Phinneas: Off these little velnishis?
GuildChat from Phinneas: They will be easy to kill.
GuildChat from Takhi: i like velnishis! do we really need to kill 'em?
Phinneas: oops, it died
Amaneldth: if you want loot, yep
Amaneldth: let me try hitting one with my rock
Amaneldth: see if i can kill it in one blow

Phinneas: Its dark in here
Takhi: i see ama's magic, but that's about it
Amaneldth watches the rock ricochet off the wall
Amaneldth: hears a thud
Phinneas looks stunned as his sabres clatter to the floor
Amaneldth: oh no!! honey!!
Takhi: Crap! what was that???
Amaneldth runs to phinneas
Phinneas collapses
Amaneldth: takhi! my rock hit phinneas!!
Takhi: Phinn? where are you?
Amaneldth thinks she better practice my aim
Amaneldth tugs off phinn's helmet
Takhi: you've GOT to be kidding!
Amaneldth: he's out cold!!!
Amaneldth: phinn, phin!!
Takhi: there's a vel coming! get phinn outta here!
Amaneldth slaps his cheeks lightly
Amaneldth looks behind her
Takhi tries to pull phinn,
Takhi: he's too heavy!!
Amaneldth quickly lifts phinn under his arms and pulls
Amaneldth: grrrrrr
Takhi: get some of his armor off of him!
Amaneldth bends down and starts to unbuckle his armor
Takhi kills off the first vel attacking,
Amaneldth pulls off his gloves

Amaneldth struggles nervously with phinn's straps

Amaneldth gets of his arms armor and works on getting off the torso
Takhi struggles with the next vel
Takhi: Ow! little booger!!
Amaneldth: !!! did it bite you!??!!
Amaneldth: oh no!!
Amaneldth takes out her swords for a battle

Amaneldth looks at takhi in terror
Takhi: we have to get out of here!!
Amaneldth tries to whack the velnishi

Amaneldth: ow!!!
Amaneldth sucks in her breath
Takhi: ama?
Phinneas groans
Takhi: get thses things away from phinn!
Phinneas tries to sit up
Takhi casts a flame spire to chase them away
Amaneldth casts a blindness spell
Phinneas looks around confused, noticing Takhi and Amaneldth bleeding
Amaneldth: they are cave dwellers..they don't need sight! How stupid of me!
Amaneldth: they use echolocation..
(Amaneldth: honey...look out!
Phinneas: What ...
Takhi: get it away from phinn before it kills him!
Phinneas tries to pull away from the Velnishi but not fast enough.
Phinneas shouts as the Velnishi bites him in the forhead.
Amaneldth: by the gods!!!
Takhi swipes at it but misses!
Amaneldth picks up phinn's sabre and finds the strength to lop off it's head
Amaneldth: let's get out of here!!
Phinneas shakes his head a few times
They watch is horror as the Velnishi's head grows back.
Phinneas: My eyes feel funny.
c'mon, let’s get outta here!!!
Takhi, Phinneas and Amaneldth stumble outside the Velnishi cave …

Phinneas: I think something was wrong with that Velnishi
Takhi shakes her head
Amaneldth: there was something wet dripping from its mouth
Takhi: ama? are you here?
Takhi looks around and spies Ama sitting on the ground and breathes a sigh of relief.
Amaneldth: and velnishi aren't supposed to sprout extra heads
Amaneldth: takhi can you see?
Takhi: and their bites don't usually burn!
Amaneldth looks at the bit on her arm
Amaneldth: oh...look..it's oozing puss!
Amaneldth feels faint
Phinneas: My eyes hurt!
Takhi digs in her sack for a healing potion - and fails
Phinneas: Do they look ok ?
Amaneldth sucks in her breath
Amaneldth: your eyes are turning black, babe!
Phinneas: I can't cast any crystal way!
Takhi tries to peer at phinn's eyes
Takhi: um, guys???
Amaneldth bends over as her eyes start to tear and burn
Takhi sits down
Phinneas shakes his head, beginning to get angry.
GuildChat from Takhi: i need to rest!
Takhi falls deep asleep!
Phinneas slumps against the outside cave wall
Amaneldth vomits at the puss coming from her wound and the pain in her eyes and passes out
The three wake up a lot later in the Death Realm and speak to their Pax Amor guild members through their guildspell device….
Amaneldth: no...we had an incident today
Tontow: do tell
Zikol: what happened?
Amaneldth: we heard there was good loot to be had in the velnishi cave
Amaneldth: so we went to kill some
Takhi tries to recall....
Amaneldth: then it gets fuzzy
Phinneas: My eyes hurt still though.
Takhi: I... I think i got bit by a bad Velnishi
Amaneldth: your eyes are STILL black, phinn!
Takhi: really?
Phinneas: I feel .... comfortable here in the death realm.
Amaneldth: yeah, look!
Takhi peers into phinn's eyes
Takhi: they ARE black!
Takhi: that's actually kinda cool Phinn
Amaneldth: i feel funny inside, near my heart.
Takhi: wait - what did you say phinn?
Takhi: about being here?
Phinneas: wow, black like they get when I'm doing dark magic.
Amaneldth: after that thing bit me, and i threw up
Amaneldth peers into phinn's eyes again
Takhi: i just got dizzy. i think i passed out, too
Amaneldth: but they're not turning back to blue
Phinneas: This dark crystal is nice!
Phinneas: I never really noticed its beauty before.
Amaneldth: hmm..you're right
Amaneldth: it feels...comfortable
Zikol: walk away from the dark and into the light! (gets nervous)
Takhi wipes a trace of drool away from her lips. hmmm?
Phinneas smiles
Phinneas: Its nice down here.
Takhi looks at the crystal with new interest. “Whoa!”
Phinneas tells group: Lets kill someone.
Amaneldth stares at the crystal as in a trance
Takhi: hey! let's go hunting down here!!
Phinneas runs a finger lightly along the blade of his sabre as he contemplates the crystal.
Zikol: The light keeps you clean and prosperous.
Amaneldth growls at zikol
Amaneldth: maybe we don't want to be clean anymore
Takhi: what do you feel like hunting tonight?
Phinneas: People.
GuildChat from Takhi: really??
Phinneas: I want to sink my sabres into some sentient flesh.
Takhi shrugs. ok. let's go!
You tell Zikol: nooooo...
GuildChat from Phinneas: Wait a minute.
Zikol begins to fear his friend may be lost to the dark way even though his dark way spells are balanced by his crystal training.
Phinneas: Peace and Love?
Takhi: what about them?
Phinneas shakes his head chuckling.
Phinneas: How could we ever have believed in that?
Amaneldth grunts an acknowledgement
Tontow: How about, I chop you into Peaces and Love doing it?
Takhi shrugs again. don't know. let's go hunt!!
Phinneas grins
Phinneas: How about I skewer you and watch the light fade from your eyes, Tontow ?
Zikol: I fear we may have lost one of our council and his wife and a friend.
Tontow: wait a sec, i have light in my eyes?
Phinneas: Not for long, if I find you Tontow
Tontow: and here I thought I was the living dead
Phinneas: this Pax Amor thing is not for me. I want to kill someone.
Phinneas: A lot of someones.
Phinneas grins maniacially
Takhi wipes the spit from the corner of her mought again. then COME ON!!
Zikol kneals and starts to pay to Laanx. :Laanx I pray to you please heal our friends, keep them safe and return them to our beliefs"
Phinneas hurls a taste of death spell in Zikol's direction.
Zikol flinches in pain and repeats his prayer.
Takhi jumps down the death realm path, looking for a good place to ambush someone
Phinneas: First Takhi, I need to shed some unwanted morality.
Takhi: We all do.
Amaneldth: Once and for all….

….and the three, liberated from the encumbrances of Pax Amor, slowly walk to the rogue encampment for a rendezvous with Vannaka Touchstone and Plank….
