Think Klyros thoughts! (aka: Can Klyros fly?)

The answer, bluntly, is no. No amount of pixie dust is going to let you spread your wings and lift off into the sky. No way, no how.

However, they CAN DO THIS! (in a far future version of the game) Or, something very similar, moving much slower and not needing a chute to land.

So, keep thinking those Klyros thoughts.

By the way, why would Klyros have wings if they can't actually fly? Shouldn't they have webby things like flying squirrels or bats?

Why does an ostrich have wings if it can't really fly?  Whoever designed their 3d model has some explaining to do.

Ostriches don't glide, they're completely land-bound.  Bats and flying squirrels do.

Buuuttt...  Klyros wings do kinda remind me of bats' wings, so I'm not really sure what kind of change you'd want for them.  They ARE pretty webby already.

They look nothing like bat wings (and don't say I don't know what they look like; where I live bats are worshiped). Ostriches have an evolutionary reason for having wings. Did Klyros at one time actually fly? If not, they shouldn't have wings. They should have webby wing things.

i noticed that they take less damage when falling.

also the manual says they can fly/glide short distances.

so they can in essance jump a little further for mountain top hopping

Oh, nice. I think that a klyros char will be nice, when this far future version of the game will exist... ()
But I hope that there will be a klyrosish glideish skill to train. Everything have to be trained... or not?

Do keep in mind this is a fantasy game. That means they don't have to care about evolution or how anything in the real world works.

Klyros have extremely light bones/body tissue, which prevents them from wearing heavy armor, though to effectively fly like a bird they would need wings some several times bigger and stronger then they are, but using them to glide horizontally is plausible.

Also, there is a spell to weigh characters down, logically there would be a spell to make them lighter as well, and this would probably allow a klyros to flap his wings and fly upwards


Personally I'd like it if they had large bat wings which worked perfectly, seeing as we're all going to have flying bat/reptile mounts in this "far future version of the game" then it's perfectly ok for there to be one race that can fly unaided
