Having just come back to Plane Shift after a 2 year break, I was surprised to note that it is still crashing on a regular basis.
Tell me:

Would this not be THEE top priority. ?
After some years could this not be cured ?
Please dont tell me that all the crashes are different with each release [ not meant to be sarcastic ] 

I would like to be more involved with the game, but this simlpy stops me Honest!

if we dont keep adding features then we cant keep finding NEW bugs and crashes as well as fixing old. sorry but really we find new and old crashing bugs very often and they do get fixed in time.

windows still crashes after more than 20 years 

perfect software even more if complex is just a myth...

so when it does go down (which may be a server reboot for a fix and not a "crash"), it just takes a 3-5 minute wait and it is back up. its not the end of the world to wait a few minutes every couple of hours... give you a chance to get up and step away from the computer for a bit.

Well these are the typical answers i had expected.
But they are not answers " Are They "  enough said !

I won't tell you then.
To everyone else who is interested, this time it appears to be a bug in displaying the content of containers. If anyone has a clue when/how this is triggered, please add a report in the bug tracker.

Try installing version 4.02 without running the updater, and make sure sound is disabled.
