Oh and Parallo. What kind of set did you used to play on ? Maybe got some advice cause I'm still going through my options last minute before the buy.

I had this. Beautiful kit. I had saved up all summer to buy it about 4 or 5 years ago and its still going with virtually no maintainance. I had a set of Sabian AAX with a hard cymbal case and high quality drum bags with it. Combined it cost me about €1000.

Looks sweet. This hits me a note that i haven't even considered YAMAHA as a choice. I saw a few price tag's that scared the crap out of me and decided i should comeback a few times as rich.

Before that I had a shitty begginers kit. Wouldn't have gotten very far with that so I think it was worth every penny. Plus, if you have a way of transporting it you can make it back easily in gig money, assuming you can play

On the whole telecaster front it really depends what you're playing imo.

franz ferdinand live gigs back in early 2004 just sounded perfect on them

Cheap drumkits can sound good with good heads and proper tuning.

Believe me, I tried to make it sound good. A friend of my brother's was the drummer in a moderately successful Irish band. He would set me up with the best stuff he could find and it still sounded crap. One of those little €50 kits for kids basically.
