So, I've come back to the game after a few months....what's this thing i hear about banking and storage? and what exactly are the rules for furniture. (when you place furniture on the ground, what's stopping other people from taking it?

You can bank your tria now.

Being near it.  When you drop something on the ground, you're guarding it until you get a certain distance away.

Out of interest, what are the advantages of banking your tria instead of just carrying it with you?

You can roleplay better having no tria on you when you are robbed  . And you won't accidentally spend the money you have in the bank while training .

Furnitures are mainly meant for guildhouses. They act as decorations and containers to store stuff in them there.
