3 Questions
« on: November 09, 2008, 02:50:58 am »
Hi,

I have three questions.

1) Suddenly my Factions area, which was once empty, now says Kran 5 even though I'm an Enkidukal. What does this mean?
2) Do torches actually work?
3) I know I asked a question bf about a trouble researching spells. However, I'm having a real problem with this one. I've purified it and have tried numerous times to research a spell but it has failed. It is a crystal glyph. I received it from an npc in a quest. I am level 10 in the crystal way. Any advice?

Thanks to all who have answered all the questions I have posted thus far.

1) It means you have gained five points of faction with the Kran race. You probably finished some type of quest....
2) Yes.
3) File a petition in game so that a GM can assist you when active. That is a hard question to answer and troubleshoot without real-time conversation. Or you can join IRC and check #planeshift-gmtalk for GM's.

Hah! Rizin beat me to it but I'll try to expand a bit on 3).

Not all spells can be researched at lower levels. If you can't find a spell at a certain level, train until you reach the next realm. A realm 1 spell will be available from levels 1-19, realm 2 ranges from 20-39, realm 3 from 40-59, and so on. Try again once you reach level 20. Asking on the forums what realm is required for a certain spell would not get you a straight answer (since it's considered a spoiler) though you can do that in-game if you find a player willing to share that info (which shouldn't be too hard).

Hope that helps.
