Graphics issue
« on: November 09, 2008, 06:49:16 am »
The really short end of the stick is : Attempt to run the setup / client and neither produce any graphics. I get the windows, the icons show up, but none of the interior portions of the window. In the client the music plays as well and for a moment I can see a screen ( I'm assuming a loading screen, I won't swear to it ). Game is being run as admin, with composition disabled ( saw it in another post while doing a search ). Updater runs without issue. No updates to be found.

Seems like you're using an ATI card with the latest Catalyst.  Do you have vertex buffer object turned on in pssetup?  This thread might be of interest to you; if you've anything to add then please post on it.

EDIT:  Come to think of it my problem is most likely unrelated anyways because you're not even getting as far as the world loading screen.

A'righty then, after spending about 15 minutes looking for the reply button and then realizing I hadn't signed in I've found out what my problem was.  Smoothvision anti-aliasing ( CCC under 3d settings ). It would appear the filter option of edge detection is what was causing my problems. No idea why, but every other option works. Hope this helps someone else.
