More Kran Questions
« on: November 17, 2008, 09:58:35 pm »
This one seems obvious, but I've never seen it used before, so I need to make sure:

Itself = kraself?

Also, what would a Kran call kras parent? Father and mother is obviously the male and female version of it, but...what's the genderless version?

What do you think, Shaman?

No one's ever cleared up the Kran parent thing.

Creating a Kran character is funny.

Your mother was a dancer.

Sulek Beaut refers to Aedaisti Beaut as "my great grandparent", and Kerryk Cor refers to Ialam Cor as "my parent".

So instead of saying mom and dad directly to your parent, you would just call them parent as a Kran.

"Parent, he hurt me!"

Not sure about that. Is there any other answer?

I'd still like to hear an official settings response. Perhaps the name could be a variation of "Gemma"?

Yes. The parent could be referred to by name.

What about referring to the child.  Is it son or daughter, gemma or Kran or name?...  hmmmm.....

Maybe something generic like we humans do...  you know...  pet names or what do they call them...  nicknames?  "Who hurt you my dear crystal?"

"Spawn" seems appropriate. Still curious about the parent though, it seems odd that the name would be the same as the general term for...not sure how to finish this sentence. >.>
