I'm not one of the tech-savys here, magiccollie, but to help you, they will probably need
a lot more information from you:
- What operating system are you using?
- What CPU and graphics card do you have?
- What exactly did you do and what exactly did the error message say?

Good luck, and welcome (hopefully soon  ;) ) to PlaneShift!

Can you start the updater in a console and post the output?
-> http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=17918.0
(Never having touched a mac, I won't be able to tell anything from the output,
but maybe somone else can.)

P.S. Punctuation is your friend.  :P

HI, I run a mac too and my updater wouldnt work either...so instead of trying to fuss with it, i downloaded the full client from here:

----> www.psmirror.org

This might be a quick fix for you if you just want to play. At least you will be able to play while you wait for someone to post with a fix for the updater :)

Yes, this means that the updater actually tried to update the files (it did work!) but was terminated. Did you force quit the updater? If so, start it again and wait until the updater quits by itself. It may take several minutes to download the new files. Again, do not quit the updater. Wait until it finishes by itself.

Upto now, the updater has no visual output but the text above, written to the file "updater.log". When everything is installed and downloaded, there should be a message in this file that the updater has quit or something similar.

Ello, did you download the new client? It will be called something like ***0.4.03***.bin or have you just tried using the updater? If it was just the updater then please visit http://psmirror.org/ and select the version correct for your computer. This will get you the full new client (it will take a little longer than updating, but less time than working out what is wrong with the updater). Hope this helps.
