[OOC] Dude you are perfectly, 100%, fine.

\"I have a feeling we will be meeting them too\", said Bill as he dipped his blade in the pond they stopped to rest at. \"But I have no regret for his death. He chose the path of evil, and to take the power of Laanx and use it for such vile meaning is the work of hatred. He was, what he was, and for that his life must be taken. Evil shall never triumph, that is my life\'s journey, and the meaning for the beating in my heart, and the pulsing in my brain\", said Bill.

They heard deep footsteps, and readied their swords. A bloody and hurt Dragus stepped into view. He was carrying a broken sword, now the size of a dagger, and he was holding a cut on his arm. He fell over, unconscious. Toru and Larien, who was now conscious, went to aid him, but Bill looked on in disgust. \"They killed my brother! The trolls found me and almost killed me, but got Tagus\", said Dragus. Bill sighed, \"No fool, they did not get your brother....*sigh*...I did.\" Dragus\'s eyes filled with fury. He ran towards Bill, and Bill dodged him and tripped him into the water. Dragus climbed out and stood, staring evily at Bill.

A Daktreme had appeared from the wood. It readied its arrow, and shot Dragus in his back, who fell forward, dead.

(ooc: Both are dead already? Arrr.....nvm. :D
Tasadar: Sorry, I\'m not too good at adding new chars into the story, I\'ll let Bill do his job. :P)
Larien leaned forward to have a look at the dead Kran as Dragus\'s eyes flared once, then died. He drew back, troubled. \"Bill, what do you say we do with these corpse? Should we bury them?\" \"Nay, they chose the wrong path, and this is the price they paid.\" Bill snorted in response.
Meanwhile, Toru and Keldain were searching for the mysterious Daktreme that had killed Dragus. Unfortunately, it was long gone by now.

For hours the group trudged on, stopping only occasionally for a rest and to find food. When night fell, they took shade under several enormous trees and slept.

At dawn, Toru got up the earliest. After watching the beautiful sunrise in solitude, he found that food supplies were running low and decided to hunt for a while. As he walked through a clearing, he noticed something strange in the distance. Straining his eyes, he frowned. That couldn\'t be........oh Hyne, yes! A town at last! A wide, wide smile spread out on his face. In boundless  excitement, he ran back and told the others, who had by now awakened. \"Oh, good!\" Dorian cried out gleefully. \"I wonder if there\'re any inns or taverns? I sure could use a good rest. Not to mention good food!\" Keldain was more cautious. \"We had better be careful, there might be more of Twauron\'s agents around.\" Whitti and Bill nodded in mutual agreement.

And so the group set off. Within half an hour or so, they had reached their destination. \"Hmm...Carthage Town,\" Larien muttered, staring at a tattered sign.
At that, Bill took a tentative step inside. The others followed.

(ooc: a bit short on detail, but I wanted to get to this part quickly. Tired of just walking around and fighting all day.... :P )

\"So......they have made their way to Carthage.\" said a slender figure as he steped out from behind the shadows. \"These poor fools know not what they do. I must do my worst to keep them from their quest!\"

That being said, the figure summoned a thick mist and covered the town of Carthage. This mist was so thick that vision was limited to only a foot.

\"There, If they can\'t see then they will have a hard time locating their path. This should slow them down for a whilst I think of more to do.\" said the figure as he then vanished back into the shadows.

ooc: Hi, Stawert! Welcome to the Planeshift Boards. :))
Firstly, do you want to create a character of your own and join us in our adventure, either as a permanent char (eg. me, Bill, Whitti, Toru, Keldain)or as a temporary char (eg. Kada-El)? Or do you want to just help us advance the story?

Regarding your post, it\'s good. Really. But I was actually planning for a little sense of normalcy for a few days. Like, they go there, buy new clothes, rest and chat around, and also learn something new like fishing etc that could improve their chances of survival in the wild.
I guess it\'s my own fault for not saying that at my last post, but I think the characters should not be on the run all the time, if so they would go insane or something. Besides, even heroes have to have some resting time. They can\'t just go on fighting forever and not feel tired of all the violence and fighting.
All the different twists and turns might make the plot too complicated as there would be a lot of loose ends that need to be tied up.

This post is merely my own opinion, you are not obliged to follow it. If you have different views that are acceptable, I would gladly follow them instead. Thanks! :D

*Stawert calls for a slight breaze to pass over the adventurers. Upon this breaze he places a slight mist of sleep and the adventurers drift off into a hazzy dream.*

Do not fear too much by my pressence. I remain more to the shadows. Ever watchfull and determined to stay you and your band from finding my one time home. I do not wish you harm though I will be harsh if I must.

While I have created this mist, I have not done so to make you run. I have done so to hold you to this town. I do not want you to continue further till I gather my thoughts of how best to deal with the situation.

My mist is only temporary, as the wind will surely blow it away in a week or less, so this will be your chance to regain yourselves and prepare for the adventure and plans I have instore for you.

I am a new player in this game of yours but in truth I have been watching you always. Until now I thought you too week to make it this far. Now is time I take matters in mine own hands and try to stay you from your quest. Try as you might, just remember one thing. Nothing escapes the power of the elements.

These are but only some words that I have whispered onto a wind that I have then sent through your mind. Soon you will awake and know nothing of what I have told you. But from this point on, you will constantly feel as if something new has come and you cannot tell if it be friend or foe.

*The breaze fades and so does the sleep. The adventurers awaken with no thought of what had just transpired. To them, nothing had happened at all and they simply find themselves in the mist covered town exactly as they were before.*

[OOC] Well I\'m back and I will get Tasador in the story, in a second. I have thought of a neat way to get Tasador, but it will be an even better way to get Stawert if he wants to join. PLEASE, NO ONE POST UNTIL STAWERT HAS ANSWERED THE QUESTION!  The question being if you would like to join us that is.

(OOC: I tried my best to keep from having to do this. Did no one read into the dream sequence to find the answers for the questions asked? I am not joining your quest. I am here to throw curves into your path in hopes to keep you from your final destination. Maybe someday I will be revealed to you face to face, but for the time being I am just a shadow that has been following you from the very begining. I watched you gather. I saw your deeds. I was amazed at your powers. I have truely under estimated how far you guys would come. I know where it is that you are headed and I know what is in store for you there when you get there. This is why I am throwing my hand into the game. I don\'t want you to reach Kadaikos. I will slowly introduce myself further and further as you guys progress on your journey. Just be ready for twists and turns as I throw my spells into the mix. Remember, I am not joining you guys, I am interacting with your journey.)

ooc: Okay, I guess your interaction will add a new twist in the story.8) So now Bill will add Tasadar in the story, and the mist will blow away in a few days, then everything returns to normal. I hope things will return to normal soon, coz I want all the chars to take a rest and have some fun for a few days. More importantly, I want them to learn some skills: eg fishing, mining, smithing, tailoring etc. This is very important as it will increase their chances of survival and may add to the plot of the story. Can you guys tell me what profession you want your char to dabble in?
Btw, can some1 also give me a detailed description of both the Daktreme and Half-Trolls? May come in use later... :)

[OOC] Yes, yes, and yes to all your stuff Dwinney. I read the stuff a few times, Stawert, but I barely missed the line that showed you were against us. I read about you hating us blah blah and thought that you hated us, then I read the dream which sorta set me off course. ANYWAY, I got your drift. Now for the quick descriptions:

Daktreme: About 6 feet tall, and have a LONG black cloak. It stops barely above their ankles, where at their feet they have dark-silvery armored shoes. They always where their hoods over their heads, and if you were to look at their faces all you see it black, like looking down a pit of hate. They have black gloved hands. Its like that. They all wear long swords on their left sides, and have black horses with the usual \"horse gear\".

Orcish Half-Trolls: Orcs are like goblins but without the ears, they look like they would be bald if they were human. They are green, and have shiney and sorta scaley skin. Thats where the \"Orcish\" comes from. But a troll is usually about 15 feet tall I would say. These are about half that size at say 7-9 feet tall. They are more trolls sorta than orcs, so they are orcISH half (half SIZED) trolls. The slouch over as like a normal hump because they are orcs, and they are not that bright, so thats why they are not as \"killer\" as other things they come upon.

And.....done.  :D And Tasador, I hope you will be happy with having archery as one of your main skills in this story, because thats the way I get you in. I changed a lot of things at the last minute of finished the story because I realized I left them out, so this might not be as good as I thought it was gonnna be.  [OOC OUT!]

They got up and rode into the town, Bill got a glint of some Ylian in dark cloaks. He was not sure if it was a Ylian, could have been a Lemur or Demorian, but it probably did not matter.

They road on and stopped at a bakery. Toru ordered a large loaf of bread and split it among the party. They munched on the bread, Keldain and Larien spread butter on theirs, and just sat staring into space. They were all tired for it was about one in the morning when they finally reached the town.

\"Macalbriem!\", shouted Larien, pointing his fingers at the group. A blue stream engourged everyone, except Keldain. A blue circle was around them, they seemed to be inside it. Bill got up and saw that he could move. There was a slight drag to his movements, as if he was naturally stalling at everything he did. His eyes widened as he realized everything was going as slow as the very last drop of malasis dripping from a jar. A water jug was falling off the counter, and he could see the individual drops falling slowly to the ground inside of the large pieces of water floating in mid-air. \"Whats...happening\", asked Toru.

\"Larien cast a spell on us. Larien what-\", but Bill was cut off when he saw that Larien was going as slow as everything else. \"He must have cast it on us, so we can do something...\", said Toru, his voice trailing off. \"Well\", said Whitti, \"We seem to be going fast, extremely fast. Faster than that drop of water, or that guy over there.\" Whitti pointed at a small goblin in the air, as if sprawled out, with a large dagger in his fists. He had a look of anger on his face, as if he was screaming, and he was directly above them. He had been trying to kill them.

Keldain grabbed the dagger from the goblin\'s hands, but it wouldn\'t budge. \"Its not moving like us\", said Toru, studying the goblin figuring how to stop him. \"Get out your swords\", instructed Bill. They pulled out their swords and were ready to strike if neccessary. Bill got behind the goblin and raised his sword. \"How do we-\", Bill stopped wondering how to stop the spell, when he saw the same figure that was watching them enter the town, but the figure was moving as fast as them!

Bill quickly walked over to the door and saw the gleeming eyes of the figure, staring blankly at him. The voices of the others trailed off behind him, \"I heard him say the spell before we became this fast. Maybe if I say it again....Macalbriem!\", and just as fast as they were going, time sped up again and the others had quickly pulled out a chair and shoved the goblin into it and put their swords to its neck. The figure ducked away into an alley. Bill returned to the others, still wondering who the figure was.

\"Who are you?\", shouted Toru, now evidentaly wide awake. The goblin sneered and moved his eyes to everyone, and then behind Bill. Its eyes widened then smiled. \"Why don\'t you ask them\", it hissed, and nodded its head towards the door. Two Daktreme were standing, with swords in-hand.

Larien shouted \"Dastroofa Kaduum\" and tourquoise lightning hit both the Daktreme and pushed them to the ground. Toru stabbed the goblin in the chest and pushed his chair backwards. Two arrows shot from behind the counter and landed in the Daktremes\' heads. \"I am Tasador\", said a man holding a bow, \"I have seen this evil before. Its Twauron.\" He sniffed, and wipped his face. \"You must go quickly, they-\", he said but was cut off by Bill, \"We know who they are. We are trying to kill Twauron and stop this evil. If you hate this evil, will you help us?\" Tasador jumped over the counter and said, \"You have my bow in the fight against evil.\" Tasador got some of his bellongings, a few instruments to make arrows, and they hurried away.

Outside, they saw a group of eleven Daktreme, backed by about 30 orcish half-trolls, who were waiting or were disrupting the houses around them. Two Daktreme were carrying lit torches, and five of the Daktreme had bows and arrows ready. Two Daktreme with bows walked over to the ones with torches. They put their arrows into the torches and lit them up, and then aimed them at the group. They stopped and couldn\'t move because of shock. The Daktreme pulled their arrows back and shot them both at Bill\'s head.

They flew fowards, and they seemed as slow as before in the bakery to Bill. Suddenly they stopped, inches away from his face, a hand gripped tightly around both of them. It was the figure, still in his black robes, looking at the Daktreme. He threw the arrows at the ground and stepped on them to stop the fire. \"Get out, get out now!\", he shouted.

A few torches appeared behind the others, carried by several trolls. They were lit, and thrown at the town. The houses lit up, but the screams were brighter, brighter with the evil that started them.

The figure screamed, and suddenly appeared right infront of a Daktreme with a torch, and sliced a dagger into the Daktreme\'s forhead. It fell off its horse, but a Daktreme grabbed the figure and put a sword to his neck. The figure suddenly disappeared, and the Daktreme\'s head rolled off its neck.

\"He can fair for himself\", said Dorian, \"we must go.\" They got on their horses and rode away.

The figure killed as many of the Daktreme as he could, but realized there was nothing he could do to stop them all.

He stood at the gates of the village as it burned to rubble. He stared until the adventurers were out of sight. \"You\", he said, a tear in his eye, \"you brought this evil to my home, and you must pay.\" And he walked away.

*whitti rode along side the others, looking back on the village. And the man by the gate.

\"That man is as good a fighter as any I\'ve seen.\", whitti muttered. \"I will be back after you, trust me!\".

*whitti moved his horse around and charged head first into the daktreme, the blazing ruins and ash surrounding him. THen he jumped off the stallion.

whitti could see the man, surrounded by Orcish Half Trolls by the gate, stabbing for his life.  whitti hacked through the crowd of enemies with his sword, then fought back to back with the man.

The others rode on, into a range of hills, for fear of Daktreme pursueing.

As soon as whitti found a space in the crowd, he ran to his horse, pushing the man to follow. The only opening was towards a forest, the opposite direction from where the others went. They both rode on the horse, galloping from the Dakreme and half Trolls.

They did not stop for a few hours and then lay down in a small copse...

-----------------------------------
From now on any more Lord of the Rings story line will  NOT be tolerated. I will try to play a more active part in the story too. thank you, whitti (P.S. Dont say \'Sorry I didnt mean to\')

ooc: Thanks for the description, Bill. I\'m thinking sometime in the near future I\'ll start a sort of \"sequel\" to this story, which revolves around Daktreme. :D
I\'d like Larien to learn Bardmanship, preferably with a flute or piccolo.

The group rode into the hills for a few hours, until they reached the fairly flat summit. There, they finally stopped. \"Let\'s set up camp here, night will fall soon.\" Bill suggested, staring at the darkening clouds in the horizon. \"Sure,\" Dorian replied. \"I\'m so tired, I wouldn\'t have minded sleeping on stone. It was a pity though, for that town to have burned down. And I was so looking forward to a good meal!\" \"Well, can\'t help it,\" Toru said with a shrug. \"Oh yeah, it\'s your turn to look for food today, Larien.\" Larien nodded, flapped his wings and flew.

The forest near their campsite was dark and damp. Inside it, Larien found there was no space at all to fly, so he landed lightly on the ground. At first, he simply walked around a bit, familiarizing himself. There was a huge myriad of trees, some of which Larien recognized, some which he had never seen before in his life. His sharp eyes soon spotted the Eidol tree, which sported flowers in exotic colours and a delicious fruit. Realising that the fruit was located too far up, Larien used a spell. Rodka UMreod he muttered under his breath.
The whole tree rumbled. Soon, the fruits had fallen to the ground. With a ghost of a smile playing about his lips, Larien bent down and picked them up until his arms were full. Carefully, he started walking again, this time out of the forest. As he reached the opening, he noticed that the sun was just beginning to set.
The clouds changed colour, from pink to orange, then red. The sky slowly darkened. And Larien stood there, watching, entranced, unmoving.

*Flashback*
A young Klyros, barely seven years old, sat on the lush green grass, knees drawn up to his chin. He crossed his arms and placed them over his knees. A breeze gusted past, rustling the leaves.
It was silent here, not like at home where everyone would be running and shouting about, the Klyros thought. It was strange, really, that he was the only one in his family who liked watching sunsets. The others tended to think it was just a waste of time. The sun was starting to set. He shifted his attention back to the sky. The clouds painted the sky a gorgeous crimson. He sucked in a breath and waited. After a long while, the sun was gone. \"Hey kid! Get back here!\" a rough voice shouted gruffly. The Klyros turned and ran, back in the direction of the house. Until he was but a mere speck in the distance...
*End Flashback*

The sun finally disappeared beneath the summit of a hill in the distance, and the sky turned an inky indigo. The clouds were no longer visible.
\"Hey, what\'cha doin\' over there, boy?\" Dorian\'s voice broke into his thoughts. \"Nothing.\" he answered back, then walked slowly back to camp.

(ooc: sorry, I know I haven\'t contributed much to the plot or storyline. :P I\'m obessed with character building. :)) )
Okay, I just realized there\'s no night or day in Planeshift..... :(  ;( . Oh well, whatever. :P

Damn......this is the what, fourth or is it fifth time I\'ve edited this post? Lol! Anyway, since there isn\'t any night, day, sun or the where the Klyros were supposed to live in the far past, I was thinking if the PS team could make it like, there was a sun once, but then the sun died and Talad made the blue crystal.
And there was a floating island once, but due to a nat. disaster (earthquake, volcano eruption?) the island collapsed and sank beneath the sea?

Argh, am I even making sense?? ?( Anyway I think that if this adventure is going to be a part of Jayose Library, it should fit the history and everything. But if it\'s not going to be a part of the Library........well, forget everything I said here. :))
