ps client does not work

I have a mac (10.4.9 - tiger i believe - laptop) and when I download planeshift, the client comes up as a blank icon and when i open it, it tells me it there is no specific application to open with and it asks me to choose one. This is what usually happens when I download windows only things, but I got the mac version. I used the direct download version, for the torrent does not like my computer, and the install process worked fine. Could anyone playing on tiger give me some instructions on what exactly to do? The only thing I have done correctly is create an account, so from there, if i could please get some instructions.

Oh, I have read all the guides so far, and none of them has given any example of what to do in my situation, so please do not refer me to them.

my system stats are good enough, but it is not the stats that are the problem - ps never even gets to open
i try to open psclient (every other file is the same result though)
i downloaded the mac version (i actually tried both of them and they both did not work)
what i am looking for is detailed instructions that tell me what to do from the download to the opening of the game

what I am looking for is someone to give me a set of instructions of what to do starting at what to download presuming I have tiger and I meet all the game specifications that have not even came into play yet

no i want your EXACT system stats, there are issues with a few types of systems that need tweaks, you dont want to me linked to how-to's so how else are we to help you if you dont want to answer DIRECTLY any question you are asked???

See for me a mac user my graphics card can create a different problem that another mac user only because his card is different but all the rest of the stats are the same, The OS is not the only thing that creates the bugs right now. Just because your system can handle the game requirements doesn't mean that it won't have bugs, Caarie is very good at fixing problems though she seems a bit impatient I am sure it's because she is trying to do so many things.

I have the same problem as OP. I don't know if he somehow fixed the problem, but here are my specific details.
