why must trying to revive and go back to normal world be so hard (after u died)

i've quit the game 2 times now because of death realm so could u plz remove it , or at . least make it easier

Death is supposed to be hard, else what would be the point of dying? If you can't find your way out on your own (which isn't that hard anyway), you could always ask another player! People are dying on a regular basis so you're never alone there.

In the future coming back from the dead will only be harder, too.

Have fun, talk to people, roleplay, try to not die

And it's very possible that you feel this game has a too harsh death penalty. Perhaps this just isn't your game then, we can't suit everybody.

i know but i've made to accounts ( not characters) and i've maxed out the characters like i ca't make anymore ad the reason for that is they're all stuck in death realm

btw this is my type of game..i love everything in it except for death realm casuedeath realm pretty much took it all away from me

They're not "stuck" in the Death Realm. There is a path in that world, follow it and you will get out.
And again, ask people who are in there as well

i know but the reason because i can't get out is because its too dark!!! even with the help of people i can't see were im going even with the brightness at 3.1 and a torch in my hand

That's very odd. Try turning up the brightness of your monitor to the max as well as the in-game brightness. You can also try running your PlaneShift client with the --fulbright parameter. (Properties of the shorcut, add "--fulbright" after the target (direction to psclient.exe) of the shorcut)

Yep, the brightness in game will not brighten on maps that do not allow for it.  If you can brighten your monitor settings, try that, otherwise try straight from your video card.  If you have Nvidia, there should be a control panel from them that lets you adjust the brightness or gamma for your whole PC.  If you are on Windows, you can get to it by Control Panel --> Display --> [Tab] Settings --> Advanced.  For Linux, I've installed the drivers from Nvidia's website to get the control panel, but not sure how to do it in another way.  ATI should have something similar with the drivers installed.  On a laptop, I have seen some adjustments for their basic video driver under the Display Settings, too.

Once you get through the Death Realm once, it is much easier the next 250 times.  And yep, the DR has some good reasons to go down there, so it isn't always a big punishment, can be fun.

dr map is lighter2 thom so --fullbright has no effect same with all the other maps.

I don't really get why it's called a lighter when it does very little lighting. I think, in truth, you guys need to admit that the game is too dark. :/

I mean, it'll be 12 pm in Hydlaa and there are still so many shadows and whatnot that it's near impossible to see. With the sun always being right overtop of us, I don't see why there would be this many shadows aside from the tiny little circles produced by, say, trees, below them or something. If I need to use brightness correction about 6 times, the game is just way too dark. The capabilities are there to make it brighter, so please, use them.

Ah yes, I forgot. Brightness is the only way then. However, it shouldn't be that dark anyway. Updating your drivers may help as well.

as some can tell you the game is plenty bright, it all depends on your screen and your graphics card and drivers nothing we can do if you have sub-par equipment.

The death realm isn't that hard actually. Follow someone or look around. My first time I just happened to find it pretty quick. Once you do it will be easy from then on and only take about 2 minutes to get through.

As far as the dark issue, if you can not see because of computer issues like that file a petition or ask in help. A gm will move you for that reason as soon as they get a chance. You don't have to be stuck down there forever just because you can't see to get out.
