I wish that even a few of the hundreds upon hundreds of billions of dollars that are going to wars and banks would instead be spent ridding the world of disease, thirst, and hunger.

I agree with this wish. I also wish people could learn to be kinder to each other. That, imho, would be a start of peace, end of hunger, and maybe even a change in the PS forums

Personally I want to get rid of some bad habits and spent more time with the people i really care about.

Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control therefore on a broader level I do think 2009 will be a difficult year for many.
