Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons & Dragons ® died March 4, 2008, at the age of 69, you should be gratefull to this guy, if it wasn't for him, maybe PS would not even exist.

R.I.P. Gary, we all thank you.

Amen,

We missed the anniversary, that's a shame.  One thought, he did not create RPG, but he did make it so "regular" folks could have a simpler way of playing it.  Before him very few would play anything like that, and mostly it would be just storytelling.  He brought the use of mechanics into the mainstream (dice, tables and books) and along with the west coast wizards, really revolutionized the field.

It is to him I owe thanks for many an evening spent eitehr preparing a campaign, or playing in one.  As such I even dedicated a website I run to him and his acheivments, and only wish we could do something similar to Open Source MMORPGs.... or games in general...
