well I am not an expert, but from the fact that your Graphics Card is the same,
your ibook model at least very similar to my old, the screenshot looks the same
AND you also see this during character selection, I fear it may be the same problem.
Sadly for me, this was quite a bugger, since, as it says in the corresponding entry
in bug tracker, the problem got worse since 4.0.1. That means with the current
version of Planeshift, there were never textures for me. So if you get them at least
some times you could rejoice a little.
Sorry, not sure what kind of advice I could give you except to try everything that
was proposed by the others and stay strong and patient. Eventually, for me it worked best
to just accept I couldn't run Planeshift at the moment, but maybe in your case that
is not yet necessary, who knows.
