When playing Planeshift, it seems to crash almost at random. For instance, I will load the game, select a character, and I start walking. I hold shift to start running, hit "w" to move forward, and it crashes to desktop. Yet other times it works fine. Examples of other times it has crashed: running down a hill, colliding with a wall, closing a menu, using "wasd" or the arrow keys to move, using the middle mouse button to change views. Sometimes it even crashes within seconds of logging into the game.
I am using Opensuse 11.1 x32, on KDE 4.2.1. I used the official 32 bit client from the website (not the repository), and have updated it fully. It is running on a single Nvidia Geforce 8800GT by XFX. As far as people having issues with compiz, I'm not sure if compiz directly is running, however Desktop Effects are, and this may be a compiz implementation.
Rather than post an excessively long console dump, I uploaded it here:
http://www.pastedump.com/paste/303Because this is more of a client issue, I have not made a bug report, and am unsure if I even should. It may be an isolated incident. I would appreciate any tips or clues on fixing this, but I honestly don't know if it can be fixed. I used to play PS regularly about a year ago, and everything worked fine, however that was on Opensuse 10.3, and a different PS version than today's. Thanks for your time.
