Powerful Italian quake kills many
« on: April 06, 2009, 10:17:36 am »
I am writing this thread to hopefully hear from our Italian friends so we know you are well and to let you know that we are thinking of you during this time of great difficulty. Let us know you are safe.

Here is the latest BBC link for everyone to read.

That is terrible news.  I live in tornado country, and the nice thing about tornados is that you have warning to find shelter.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those in Italy.

The first thing I heard on the radio as I woke up was the new about the Earthquake in Italy and I was surprised to see that no one had already made a post about it being that Talad is from there. On few occasions I had the opportunity to chat with Talad and found him to be very kind. I also have had the chance to play with a few others from Italy who also were very nice and I made this post out of concern for them. Being that the founder of this game, that all of you are so passionate about, is from Italy I was quite surprised to see that no one had made a post about it.

So yes I said I was gone Mordraugion, and yet my post was not to be told that I left and then made yet another stupid, waste of time post, yet it was to show concern for the people, the real people behind the player, to make sure that all the ones I know are well and let them know I am thinking about them in their possible time of need.

Sorry I'm just bored with dramatic attention seeking exits that aren't and while I believe you are sincere in your concern a pm or email would have sufficed to express it.

As for Talad, Italy is a large place and none of the Italian players I know were anywhere near the epicentre, perhaps explaining why there was no post.

Yes Mordraugion I have been told I am dramatic. I truly believe it is what made me a very good role player. Sadly it seems to bother people that I brought my drama to the forums.

As for my leaving if you noticed I have not posted anything in regards to the game because I do not play. If this tragedy had not happened I would not have made another post here. And yes I did it out of concern for the people who have been so very kind to me and all of the others I do not know as well because I hate human suffering.

One more thing I saw absolutely no reason to PM you with a response to your post here. Now let us all hope and pray for all the people who are suffering because of the earthquake. This is not about you or me, but about them. Hopefully some of them will post here and let us know they are ok. If that is to dramatic for you, I say that is sad.

Once again you either deliberately misunderstand or mis-read me, I didnt ask you to pm me rather that you pm those whom you are concerned about instead of posting here.

As far as dramaticism goes its about the last thing a very good roleplayer needs.

Mordraugion, Mathy was expressing concern.  Why use it as an opportunity to be critical?  Aren't there more important things in life to worry about?

Zanzibar, I was expressing an opinion that if one wishes to express concern it is better to do so in person rather than hanging a metaphorical banner outside ones window in the hope someone sees it.  "Why use it as an opportunity to be critical?  Aren't there more important things in life to worry about?"

We could start a new thread regarding this statement.

In keeping this thread on topic. I do so hope that the worst is over and the people can start over again. Be Blessed.

I'm alive and the damages in my house don't seem too grave. Thanks for the thought Mathy
