write caching
« on: April 11, 2009, 04:39:21 pm »
okay... i'm starting to wonder if there's anything like vistas advanced write caching option in xp to... i don't even know if normal caching is enabled becuase on the hd properties in policies all options are grayed out BUT uptimized for performance or whatever is still marked but there's no boxes under this.
the hd is a sata btw.
i've read here and there that there might be something similair to what vista has i just havn't been able to find it yet, got some clues but thats just it  :-\

oh btw, the windows has sp3 on it and from what i know all updates if that's eny use.

*edit
also seems this thing is called write back caching.

*edit
called advanced performance in vista and is found on the hdd policies
and here's the name of something that might be helpfull Dskcache.exe but... i think it's pre sp3 and 2, can't really find much info regarding this
