EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 76FF3387

Trying to even start the client and I am greeted instantly with that error.

I noticed someone else had a similar error, but it went unresolved.

So here are the specs of my system:

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, 32-bit (Build Service Pack 16001)
AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56
1.79 GHz Performance Rated at 3.63 GHz
893 MB of RAM
ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 (ATI Radeon Xpress Series (0x5975))
Direct X Version 10.0
15 GB HD space free


Any ideas? This game looks great and I'd really like to play it...but I can't even get to a character creation screen.

I've tried running it in Compatability mode with Windows 95, 98, and XP AND with Administrator mode both on and off.

I sometimes get yelled at for answering these, but since the other one went unresolved and I've had a similar problem...

Try disabling sound.  If that doesn't work, toggle the vertex buffer setting (if it's on, turn it off.  if it's off, turn it on.).  That's what works for me.

Tweeked the Vertex Buffer setting, turned Fullscreen off, sound off....and it works!


But the only available server has "Failed".

If you only have one server listed then you need to run the updater if its failed then hopefully it wont be for long
