« on: May 03, 2003, 03:30:15 pm »

The city will indeed be 8 levels on top of eachother... Outside the city will be the \'stone labyrinth\', a huge network of interconnected hallways (thus: a labyrinth). The labyrinth is probably the \'huge outside\' that you have heard about.  :))

The comparison with the dungeons present in Diablo is wrong. The 8 levels or grades we are talking about are all overground and each one is big as a region.

To better understand how the world is, take a look at this picture:

The city you are visiting in the game now is in the 1st level, that in the image is the first green circle to the top. To give you an idea, the first circle is about 100 times the area you can visit now in game.

The distance between one level and the next one is in terms of kilometers, so they represent really different regions/cultures.

The Stone Labirynths are another additional regions that can accessed by entering one of the \"walls\" present in the 1st level. They extend all around the level and go up.

It depends on what you consider underground! :)

In the pic you can see that the 8 levels are inside a big cone. In the pic it\'s cut in half, but in reality it\'s a complete cone. That big cone is a stalactite of a HUGE underground cavern of a hollow world.

So imagine an hollow world, the surface is a layer of earth/rock of some kilometers, then inside is empty and on the inner surface there are a lot of huge stalactites hanging... one of those is Yliakum. the one is the pic.

This means that when in the game you look up you are looking at the inner surface of the hollow world, not at the sky.

Does this give you an idea of the \"underground\" we have?

Hmmm, that\'s a new one, a huge hollow world with stalactites hanging from it\'s inside!  :))

Now...here\'s my question...will there be a \'surface\'? I sort of need an answer to this, or else...uh...my guild\'s plotline is going to need some MAJOR revamping.

Umm, if I remember correctly, the Enkidukai main village is supposed to be on the surface, which means that something CAN live on the surface. :P
