I can't even talk to the NPC's

Well I guess the title isn't totally fair, I can talk to them. I just cant get any information from them. I just started a new char about 4 minutes ago and Im already hopelessly stuck.  Talking to the Blacksmithing Dwarf lady goes something like this

"Hi Im here to help you learn the basics of blacksmithing!"
"ok"
"Im sorry I don't understand blah blah blah etc etc"
"Learn Blacksmithing"
"Im sorry I don't understand blah blah blah etc etc"
"Im ready"
"Im sorry I don't understand blah blah blah etc etc"
"I'm ready"
"Im sorry I don't understand blah blah blah etc etc"
"Start"
"Im sorry I don't understand blah blah blah etc etc"
"Teach"
"Im sorry I don't understand blah blah blah etc etc"

I'm sure you get the point. I use to do this way back in days of Everquest and never had so much trouble. Im sure im just doing something simple wrong and Im a totally moron but none the less I need some help...

Sometimes you just need to *Literally* repeat what they tell you to say (verbatim).
Also when talking to NPC's try not to use contractions ( like "Im" , "I'm" ... use "I am" instead )

You have to start the tutorial with Abelia. If you already finshed with her tell Neave what Abelia told you.

I did start the tutorial with abelia... what does exactly I am I suppose to say to Neave!?

Blah... I should probably just uninstall if Im having so much trouble already

You may want to scroll up and re-read Abelia's instrcutions.
NPC's take everything you say very literally.

that would be a great idea... if it was still there. I've scrolled all the way up, the spam from me talking to do the dwarf lady pushed out of my chat box.
The game developers really need to fix that. I doubt I'm the first person they have lost this way. Thanks for trying though, time to uninstall.

its already gone. I know I miss small things sometimes but this one isn't entirely my fault. 10 years ago SoE made a system of talking to NPC's that was simple and still fit nicely into the role playing environment, This game has failed to do so. If I have to put up with this BS run around everytime I want to talk to an NPC it almost doesn't matter how good the game play is.

Sorry you didn't have a good experience with this. There has been some talk of a menu driven system for interacting with NPC's, Perhaps you will find that more  enjoyable if/when it gets implemented.

That is a "when" I believe.
It is implemented. You just don't have it yet! But be patient, next release should make everyone who hates guessing what to say to NPCs happy.
