Can't start game

I downloaded the game as specified, tried to load the updater (it bounces, stops bouncing, but the "running" light never comes on  - then it unexpectedly quits), the config app also does not run; I have a character set up and after I click join I get something about the GUI loading and then it quits. Here's the log:

It's a 2ghz intel iMac running 10.5.7; It has the ATI 1600X and I did try the patch for that with no luck.

Please download the application from the link above, unzip it and then run it. Choose the ATi 1600x fix from the list available, should resolve your issue.
