Yeh nice black cloths fot thiefs thiefs dont need armour so we should have different levels of clothing. you could have common cloths and like really extravegent cloths. I also think that the more expensive cloths your wearing the more npc\'s should respect you and if they are merchants they should sell you stuff cheaper out of respect

Clothes is just for appearance. It makes your character become more unique. However it would be good if there were \"layers\" so that you could put armor over your clothes.

I also do like the \"layers\" idea, but maybe they would only be allowed on few parts of the body (trunk, legs and arms) or only under few armors (plate, robes and so on...)

I would also like to use this thread for a wish that too many RPGs forget...

Will there be \"normal\" clothes ? I mean pairs of trousers, pyjamas, dresses, hats, coats and so on ?

Cause when being in town, most of the people like to wear something more comfortable than your heavy noisy can-looking plate armor...

And if you want an alive society, you will need weddings, dinners at your friends, discussing long a river, going for a drink and all those tiny details that enable you to play a  \"human being\", not only a \"warrior\", a \"wisard\" or a \"smith\"...

In ESIII: Morrowind you had the ability to wear \"normal\" clothes (although it was unneccesary since you were the only PC in the world).
There were also layers which enabled you to wear both armor and clothes at the same time. It had a huge selection of \"normal\" clothes like trousers, shirts, shoes, hats, robes, dresses etc.
I would love to see this huge selection of stuff in PS as well.

I must say I agree with you. It\'s the details that does it.

Do you know Dary age of Camelot ?
I\'s a online 3d rpg just like Planeshift. (10$/month also)
You can buy potions to change the colors of your clothes, and gray ones are not expensives, adn shining red, blue or else, are very expensive. Trousers yellow costs much more than a  sword for example !
So you can choose the colors depending on your money and your social rating.
Also, you can be in a clan, and the have a logo in your clothes.

Ah, now it makes sense :)
Yes, dyeing is a good idea (it has been brought up earlier though). I thought you drank potions to change the color of your clothes :D

I was creating a character and thought \"hey, let\'s plea for more clothing options.\" Of course someone had already mentioned this... What I was wondering about is, will more clothes and more options, ie the layers option, take much memory/bandwidth?

I also go with the idea of more detail and somewhat more normal outfits.

not much bandwidth because information about clothes type or color are sent once, the first time you see a player (or when it changes), but not everytime.
It\'s not significant.

How normal are the clothes. Were they normal for the game or normal to us like blue jeans and a shirt?
My name is NOT pronounced, \"Kway-per,\" it\'s pronounced \"Kye-per.\"
