The Guilt Of Jacula - Prologue

A Vague mist rode low across the half asleep streets of Hydlaa as eager customers started to pick their way past the various tents and hawkers of goods. Shopkeepers and artisans vied for attention from the passing crowds. Among the majority of ruthless bargaining a few got lucky, the sound of circles and hexas passing hands in final agreements.

Jacula walked among them, the events of late making him question his very being. Had this once lowly beggar grown into a deranged murderer, a notorious lier or devious fiend? his perspective of himself had been shattered, and the guilt of the lies ate away at his conscience, more so than he would ever admit. He warmed himself in his thick hooded robe as he wandered through the misguided masses, yet he showed them no pity. For the guilt was not that of the life's he had ruined, nor the decay he caused. For he had deceived not only Ylikakum, but the person held so very dear, His beloved Mellas.

He made his way up the wide stone stairs and into Kada-els, the smell of cheap liquor and the scouring eyes telling of despair and broken dreams had grown far too familiar to him. He sat down with a corner to his back, sending the barkeep a slight nod. He emptied mug after mug, as if the solution to his dismay could be found in the in the bottom of at least one of them. Jacula had never let the liqueur loosen his tongue, yet the urge to tell of his dreadful lies far exceeded his reason. He knew that the truth belonged solely to the black flame, and the punishment for defying it. The sweet intoxication was the sanctuary in where he hid from the guilt, the cheap liquor his unfailing remedy.

The whisper suddenly hissed in his ear. His thoughts stopped in a screeching cacophony as he realized that he was being watched, and not by a mere person. It was the shadows of the tavern that leered at him from within themselves. Their grey eyes watched him mercilessly from every side, the hissing in his ears grew unbearable, and he realized that the black flame had sensed his lack of faith. Jacula knew he had little time before the shadow overtook the light of the room and swallowed him whole.
He rushed towards the tavern stairs in sheer panic, his vision blurred by the poison he had considered his remedy. He made his way to the roof, the slithering shadow following his every twist and turn. He grabbed the ledge, looking down realizing he would probably not survive the fall. He turns around, his heart pounding wildly. Cowering in the presence of the approaching creature...

Yet another plot and storyline for those who wish to partake, the opening entry is one of many OOC insights to come. To give you, the reader Jacula's impressions and reactions to the ongoing story. I really enjoy your writing style and I'm looking forward to see how this RP will develop.
Currently there is a real continuation of events going on, playing this out is a great experience and certainly lots of fun!

I wish people would use colors in their forum post like that, it really helps with reading to visually divide the text.

[Cavi]

(I'm excited for the sequel, the last event was really well done  . "Assailant" in the following logs did not want his or hers name exposed. Poor Cavi though!   *This took place before the prologue as far as i know.)

Cavi had found her way out of the death realm, not knowing what to do she searched for something who could sooth her intense pain. Remembering the tent close to the iron temple, where she had seen healers on duty before.

(12:14:03) Cavi drags her feet through Hydlaa, covering her mouth with a rag. She spent weeks in the deathrealm, the azure sun stinging her pale skin as she silently sobs.
(12:14:17) Cavi murmurs as she approaches the Hydlaa sanatorium, the inside of her mouth cut to pieces and her tongue missing, the bleeding stopped long ago. Yet the intense ache remains.
(12:14:24) A masked assailant listens intently as she moves closer, lurking in the shadows inside the large tent.
(12:14:35) Cavi stops in her tracks and looks around, she sticks her head into the tent and notices the assailant, its back turned against her. She staggers towards it , clawing it's back and pointing to her mouth "helthphh" she exclaims as her eyes tear up once more.
(12:14:48) The assailant slowly turns around, it's eyes meets hers with a intense cold glare, it tries to grab hold of her in a sudden movement. A slight smirk visible under the mask.
(12:15:01) Cavi attempts to run, squirming as she is suddenly grabbed by the figure, her panicked scream smothered as it holds her down.
(12:15:19) The assailant grabs her by the hair and brings her to her knees, pointing to the table in front of her where a glass jar filled with a thick brown liquid stands, a severed tongue floats within it.
(12:15:42) Cavi looks up at the jar with wide eyes, tears flowing freely. Her gaze jumping between the jar and the masked assailant.
(12:16:12) The assailant speaks in a deep screeching voice "so much suffering you have gone through mute. I am here to make you an offer. It tilts her head in the direction of two other jars on one of the beds both seeming to contain a chunk of unknown skin. 'you will bring one jar to Rigwyn Setson, the other to the elf known as Shangshi.. In return i will reattach your tongue'
(12:16:17) Cavi stops struggling and whimpers, looking up at the assailant with wide tear filled eyes and then back at the jar containing her tongue.
(12:16:53) The assailant lets her go and steps back, picking up the jar with her tongue in it. 'Hurry mute.. For it will not stay conserved forever." it gestures towards the two remaining jars "Do not fail me.. Or you will know what it means to truly suffer."
(12:17:10) Cavi remains on her knees and looks down, wanting to sink into the ground. Desperately she nods towards the assailant as she dries her tears.
(12:17:31) The assailant drops a scroll of instructions to the ground as he leaves 'hurry little clacker..' it hisses.
(12:17:37) Cavi struggles to her feet as the assailants footsteps fade, not knowing what else to do. She shivers as she picks up the two jars and the scroll of instructions. She heads into the center of Hydlaa with a traumatized mind, in search of Rigwyn and Shangshi..

It tilts her head in the direction of two other jars on one of the beds. Both seeming to contain a chunk of unknown skin.

Inside the two jars a message written on a soaked piece of skin can be found, the text is smudged and hard to make out, the signature seems to have dissolved in the liquid. It's content meant for the eyes of Rigwyn and Shangshi.

[Shangshi]

[ Joy  Jars with tongues, and jars with bits of flesh, just what i need to go in my WTF!! is this collection  .

With that said, its an interesting start to the sequal.  ]

[Rigwyn]

[ Shake the jar and see the little skin chunk float around and eventually settle to the bottom eh ? Sounds like my kinda toy. Looking forward to this - and nice opening story !  ( Better keep a close eye on Melly... shes been dancing pretty close to the flame so to speak    )  ]

[Shangshi]

Cavi slowly approaches shangshi with an obvious despair in her eyes. She seems to be reading a scroll of instructions. As she reaches the bottom of the stairs she tries to catch his attention as she points to two names on the scroll, mumbleing something.

Shangshi, about to walk into the plaza hesitates and looks at Cavi. She returns his look the points at the scrool the two names being his and Rigwyns 'phfinnd tphehm'. Shangshi pulls the bottom of the scroll towards him as he reads the name before letting it go again saying "Yes, so are you looking for them?"

Obviously intimidated by his sharp tone of voice and sudden movement Cavi takes a few steps back, and looks round the plaza searching for safety in numbers as she desperately stutters 'Shankshki?'
Shangshi smiles slightly and says "Sorry, so are you looking for them?" and then frowns trying to watch Cavi speak "Are you alright?".  Cavi opens her mouth, exposing the severed stump of what once was her tongue and falls to her knees and cries silently. She glances at Shangshi from time to time, tears flowing freely down her pale cheeks.

 Shangshi scowls seemingly angered by what he see, steps forward he sits a few step up from Cavi, and rests his hands on his knees looking questioningly to Cavi "Who did that?"

Cavi seems to be afraid to speak. Yet she finally tries, the words seemingly smothered before they exit her mouth 'Bhihg ynhthnwn.' she exclaims as her tears soak the ground below. Drying her tears, she slowly digs through her pack seemingly looking for something, looking up at Shangshi from time to time

Placing his hands on the edge on the step he shuffles forward to the step below. And again leans forward on his knees trying not to startle Cavi and asks "Did you do anything to provoke the Ynnwn? and how long ago was it?" and smils at Cavi again trying to make her feel calm and safe.

Cavi seems to tense up as he approaches, her hands trembling as she digs through her pack. 'tThnothingh.. Tahken Byh bihgh yhnnwhns' she stutters, her eyes widening as she looks up at him. Suddenly stops digging through her pack, her fingers tightening around a glass jar. She conceals it in her pack, looking up doubtfully at Shangshi. He nods and sits up giveing Cavi a bit more space realising she doesn’t trust him. "So what are you looking for these two people for?"

Cavi looks over at Lace, visibly shaking with fear.

Lace walks across the plaza and nods to shangshi, and nonchalantly eyes and bows to cavi elegantly. Shangshi nods his head politley to in return. Cavi tries to collect herself, her grip around the glass jar tightening.

Lace says “How have you been Shangshi?”

Shangshi smiles at lace before returning his gaze to Cavi "Good, thank you." Lace smiles a bit and nods "good to hear ,,i have been fairly well as well "looks cavi"and who is your charming lady companion with you ? " Shangshi shrugs a little tilting his head slightly "She seems to have a slight problem talking, and i havent asked her name yet." and glances up at Lace

Cavi seems frightened by Lace's presence, biting the bottom of her lip as she looks up at Shangshi. She avoids Lace's gaze and glances to Shangshi 'Heh ghoh, Ijh ghivhe imhporhtahnt jahr'

Lace looks calm and a bit cold eyed back "Ah i see hmm, well ill think I’ll take my leave now I seem to make her nervous" and nods both politely before leaving.

Shangshi looks at Lace with a hint of annoyance as he walks away before smiling again and shaking his head a little "As my friend Lace said, I am Shangshi."

Cavi looks down at the scroll of instructions, comparing the written traits of appearance next to the name Shangshi with Shangshi himself. She then perks up her ears as he speaks 'Shankhsgi?' she stutters as her eyes widen.

Shangshi nods his head a few times "I am. So what is it you have for me?"

Cavi looks down at the scroll again, before revealing a glass jar hidden in her pack. She holds it up in the light of the crystal, a soaked piece of skin visible within it, she seems disgusted by it as she puts it down infront of him. She points tp the second name on the scroll 'Whehre ijh cahn fihndh Righwyhn shehson?' she stutters slowly.

Shangshi immediately looks to the jar as it is revealed, carefully leaning forward to examine it as it’s placed in front of him, gently touching the rim of the jar he turns it looking at the contents. Cavi seems disgusted by the smell the jar exudes as Shangshi holds the jar carefully in his left hand and lifts it up to examine it.

Shangshi glances back at Cavi "I dont know, I have not seen him for some time. You have one of these for him as well?"

Cavi covers her nose as her eyes tear up again 'Ijh Gihwe hihm jahr, krah phrohmise'

Shangshi not quite understanding asks "You have to give it to him?"

Cavi notices her own reflection in the jar, her eyes widen at the sight of her mouth. She gets to her feet as she is met by the dreadful sight, seemingly traumatized she runs away swiftly. In search of the man called Rigwyn.

Shangshi calls out “Wait.....” but Cavi doesn’t hear.

Getting up Shangshi walks across the plaza and up to a vacant furnace and opens the jar, taking out the skin within tips the rest into the furnace, glass and all. After quickly reading the note he tosses that too into the furnace and waits while he watches everthing burn away completly. Turning and walking heading in the direction of the Red Crystal Den he notices Cavi standing on a ledge behind Kada-el’s and heads up too her. Cavi leans noticing Shangshi, and moves a little closer to the edge.

 Shangshi looks cautiously at Cavi "Are you ok?"

Cavi cries loudly, her whole being extruding despair 'Ijh cahnnth dho ith.. Givhe jahr to Rihgwyhn' she stutters. She then takes out another jar from her pack, trembleing as she places it on the ground beside her.

Shangshi nods his head away from the edge "You should really step back." then quickly take a few steps forward and takes Cavi's arm pulling slightly on her. Cavi looks down, the fall will surely kill her, ending all the injustice done to her. Cavi gasps as Shangshi grabs her arm, loses her balance and almost falls over the edge, clinging on to his arm for dear life. He quickly puts his other arm round her and pulls her away from the edge.

Cavi kicks and screams as Shangshi takes hold of her, the memory of Rigwyn doing the same haunting her 'nhoh, leghth mhe ghoo!'. Once far enough away from the edge of the ledge Shangshi lets her go saying "I'm not going to do anything to you." And steps back giveing Cavi some space.

Sarras and Mellas are watching from round a nearby corner and Sarras shoots Mellas a curious look. Sarras quickly peeks around the building.

Cavi struggles to break free, kicking the jar on the ground over as she does before Shangshi lets her go. She looks to Shangshi with terror in her eyes as he lets her go 'Igh whahs sho behautifulh onhce' she stutters, before closing her eyes and backing up towards the edge, noticing Sarras out of the corner of her eye

Shangshi smiles at Cavi "Your cuts will fade." and gestures at Cavi to come away from the edge "No need to get so close to the edge." She sobs loudly 'Theh phain whihll neher fadhe!' and glancing at the jar, she closes her eyes, falling to her death as she throws herself over the edge.

Shangshi smiles again and begins to talk "Its ridiculous........." suddenly dartting forward to Cavi... but too late

Sarras watches Cavi fall, putting a hand over her mouth.

Shangshi kneels down looking over the edge. Standing he collects the jar before walking off glancing at Sarras before he does.

Hopping over onto the steps leading from the tavern he walks about for a bit before heading back to the furnace. Walking up to another free furnace he smashes a second unopened jar on the furnace, and again waits and watches whiles hits contents burns and melt away to nothing.

[Rigwyn]

Rigwyn is sitting on the grass near the Laanx Temple feeling tired and drained due to a disease that he somehow caught.

(05:49:28) Shangshi strolls up to Rigwyn but stops short of him seeing that he dosnt look well.
(05:50:00) Rigwyn opens an eye upon hearing footsteps nearby.
(05:51:53) Shangshi crosses his hands behind he back and looks down at Rigwyn "Looks like you've been taking good care of yourself."
(05:53:17) Rigwyn narrows his eyes for a moment and then relaxes. "I came down with a cold - thats all.
(05:54:06) Shangshi looks down the side of theh Laanx temple and says sternly "We need to talk."
(05:55:28) Rigwyn stands up looking at Shangshi curiously. He then notice Shangshi's expression and nods.
(05:55:31) >Rigwyn Setson stands up.
(05:55:48) Rigwyn says: "Here ?"
(05:55:53) Shangshi turns saying nothing and walks to the back of the temple.
(05:57:05) Shangshi says: Here, not quite as open.

They walk around the back of the temple and check to see that nobody is around.

(05:57:17) Rigwyn looks around carefully and that looks at Shangshi attentively, "Ok, So whats up ?"
(06:00:56) Shangshi looks down to his right and snaps his fingers and Bagga appears down next to him. It runs up and stops next to him, reaching down Shangshi takes out a glass jar. "There seems to be things about you I still have to learn."

A tisket a tasket a little jar of flesh in a bagga

(06:02:01) Rigwyn looks at Bagga and then at the jar. Rigwyn steps back for a moment. "Whats this ? A trick ?"
(06:02:12) Shangshi's bagga trots up to Rigwyn for a moment before vanishing.
(06:03:00) Shangshi shakes his head "No, trick. Can you catch?" he then waits a few moments before tossing the jar over.
(06:04:03) Rigwyn reaches out and catches the jar instinctively. He flinches as if waiting for an explosion but then stops. "What is this ? "
(06:04:35) Rigwyn eyes Shangshi and then looks back into the jar - gazing at its contents.
(06:04:52) Shangshi nods his head up "Open and see."
(06:06:01) Rigwyn's hand passes over the top of the jar as if feeling for something. After a few passes he opens it and looks inside. He then begins to pull out something soft yet firm.
(06:08:55) Rigwyn smirks. "A piece of skin. Very creative .. and with a message too. " Rigwyn squints as he begins to read it.
(06:09:15) Shangshi casually scratches the side of his nose "Seems someone has plans for us."

Leave no evidence behind

(06:10:37) Rigwyn takes the flesh note and sticks it into his own mouth and begins to chew it up. With a bitter face he swallows it.
(06:11:35) Shangshi smirks "Not the way i would have done that, but if you like doing that sort of thing."
(06:13:10) Rigwyn shurgs, "One can never be too careful." Rigwyn begins to retch but holds it down with a painful expression.
(06:13:41) Rigwyn says: I take it you are prepared to help too.
(06:14:02) Shangshi nods "I am."
(06:15:58) Rigwyn looks around, "Very well. The sooner this is dealt with the better."
(06:18:48) Shangshi nods in argeement "Yeah, Id like to know who asking for this more than anything."

The two of them discuss how to go about accomplishing their task as described on the fleshnote. They chat about a few different methods of accomplishing this and finally come to an agreement. That take into consideration materials needed, logistics, who to watch out for.. and how to deal with anyone who might interfere. Finally they go their own ways.


(06:58:38) Shangshi nods "Agreed."
(07:00:33) Rigwyn looks around again and then begins to turn. "Before anyone sees us conversing we should go. "
(07:00:55) Shangshi looks about as well "Well, untill then."
(07:01:12) Shangshi turns and walks in the opposite direction
(07:01:25) Rigwyn departs quietly.

@ Mellas - Yes, yes he did. Rigwyn isnt one for the normal etiquette of not eating other peoples skin..... And no you didn't miss read, but you made an ASSumption (), that I expected people to make, which was that the second jar i burnt was the second jar that i was given.  

@ Oronec - He's ill, he needs to keep his strength up. But its still nasty when he eats bits of people.

(22:36:02) Jacula falls to his knees on the roof of the tavern, screaming in terror as he crawls backwards towards the ledge, trying to evade the shadow approaching him.

A crowd of people rush to the roof to find out who is screaming and why.

(22:36:26) >Jacula Pundactum takes a seat.
 (22:39:17) Jonoth says: Is everything ok?
(22:39:24) Jacula twists and turns, eyeing the approaching crowd intently.
(22:39:55) Shangshi scowls slightly watching Jacula.

gleaming ebon eyes cut through the dark, piercing through his very soul. Jacula the dreaded deceiver, shivering at the sight of certain death to come. He closed his eyes, only to have them pried open, unable to move and flee.  Bound to his predicament not by rope nor chain, something held him down. Forcing him to look into them. From within their ebon glow they leered at him, chilling the blood in his veins.

 (22:40:09) Mellas runs over towards Jacula, trying to steady him with her hands. 'Jacula!! Hush! What happened?'
(22:40:16) Jacula roars and crawls backwards towards the ledge 'No! stay away, stay away!'
 (22:41:20) Jacula supports himself towards the ledge, eyes jumping from side to side under his closed eyelids. Sights of a unknown nature filling his mind.
 (22:41:26) Shangshi frowning looks to Mellas "He's frightned of something up here." looking round him.
 (22:41:43) Mellas stands up, looking at the ynnwn with concern. She inches closer anyway. 'What's wrong?' she asks soflty. 'Let us help.'

There was something so familiar about the way they were looking at him, ever unwavering and cruel.  their sharp, corrupting gaze held a familiar glimpse.  Serana.. His salvation in the rancid sewer so many years ago, his tutor and in many ways mother. She had left the temple, had she sensed his doubt? Did the black flame know? The approaching crowd cannot share the delusion, they watch helplessly as he is snatched from reality.


(22:42:44) Jacula stutters 'piercing ebon eyes.. They know what I did.. she knows.'
 (22:43:22) Shangshi's expression turns to one of slight concern "Who know what?"
 (22:43:53) >Jacula Pundactum stands up.
(22:44:22) Mellas glances back at Shangshi before turning to Jacula once again. Confused and worried.
 (22:45:00) Jacula seems delusional, clinging to the ledge 'They know.. They will take me..' he rants, seemingly unaware of his surroundings.
 (22:46:03) Shangshi holds an arm out and points at jacula "Mellas i'd be weary of the roof edge if i were you."
 (22:46:17) Mellas moves over, trying to take a hold of Jacula's hand. 'No, they won't. I won't let them,' she says stubbornly. 'Who are the ones you talk about?'
 (22:47:19) Jacula shivers as his eyes lock with Shangshis, he violently breaks free of Mellas hold as she approaches 'I dident know! I diden't know!' he screams.
( (22:47:48) Jacula tries to jump onto the ledge, eyes still locked with Shangshis
(22:48:15) Mellas steps back a bit, wide-eyed. 'Know what!?'
(22:48:33) Shangshi stares back at Jacula, moving forward as he moves to the ledge.
(22:48:53) Shangshi says: Mellas if you dont get him down it looks like he is going to jump...
(22:48:54) Stelanso watches Jacula from the distance.
(22:49:16) Jacula seems frightened as Shangshi approaches, looking over his shoulder down at the ground below in sheer terror.
(22:49:17) Mellas looks from Jacula to Shangshi in obvious confusion before she nods, stepping back more.
(22:50:18) Shangshi gesures for Jacula to step down "What ever you are scared of, there are three of us to help you now. Why dont you step back."
 (22:51:39) Jacula tries to maintain his balance on the ledge as he growls at Shangshi. shunning him visibly.
(22:52:01) Mellas agrees with Shangshi and gives Jacula a hopeful look. 'It's going to be okay, my love. Just step down and let us help you. There's nothing that can't be solved.'
 (22:53:07) Jacula suddenly loses his footing, he shoots Mellas a desperate look as he is about to fall.
 (22:53:24) Shangshi lowers his arm and takes a step forward not breaking the eye contact with Jacula.
 (22:54:10) Mellas rushes forward instantly, trying to keep Jacula from falling. 'No!'
 (22:54:27) Shangshi moves forward as soon as mellas does, moving in just behind her.
(22:54:28) Stelanso takes a few startled steps towards Jacula but resigns as he sees he won't be able to reach him in time.
(22:55:39) Jacula falls backwards, landing on the hard rocks below with a loud thud, his screams smothered by the fall.

Ears ringing, unable to move. His body pressed against the cold stone ground. Serana is gone, the delusion is broken, yet so is he.  The cold night chills his exposed face, his mouth flailing, struggling to breathe, the crowd approaches.. Panicked by the horrific scene.

(22:55:53) >Jacula Pundactum takes a seat.
(22:57:22) Jacula is not moving, the only faint sign of life appears to be his uneven breathing
(22:58:02) Merivo says: Mell!
(22:58:42) Shangshi glances behind him as Merivo walks up and then points up at the roof "He jumped."
(22:58:51) Jacula struggles for air, the damage of the fall remains unknown.
(22:58:51) Merivo says: ouch
(22:59:00) Mellas leans over him, automatically activating the energy glyph with the spells that flow from her mouth. Her hands begin to shine a white, healing light.
(22:59:14) Shangshi then looks down at Jacula "Mellas?? how is he?"
(23:00:12) Jacula shivers slightly as the magic passes through him, yet his eyes remain closed.
 (23:01:44) Mellas closes her eyes, not hearing anything when she connects the healing magic of the crystal to Jacula. Trying to find each and every wound he received from the fall.
 (23:03:08) Shangshi steps up behind Mellas incase he can be of any help.
(23:03:29) Jacula slowly opens his right eye, his gaze jumping immediately to Shangshi, his eye widens before it closes again. As he falls into unconsciousness

 (23:04:19) Mellas bites her lip, hoping she can be of service to whatever ails her love. She sighs sadly when she feels him slipping into unconsciousness, but she doesn't stop the healing process.
 (23:04:55) >Mellas Fenixxes takes a seat by Jacula Pundactum.
(23:05:16) Merivo says: err...do you need a hand?
(23:05:42) Jacula seems to be whispering something, hard to make out from a distance.
 (23:06:23) Shangshi says: If you think he can be moved perhaps we should take him to the sanatorium.
 (23:06:33) Mellas's eyes open and she frowns at Jacula, leaning closer to hear what he's mumbling.
(23:06:39) Merivo says: no....I wouldn't
(23:07:03) Shangshi says: I would have though he would get better care there than on the floor here.
(23:07:11) Merivo says: we need to work out how badly he is injured.
(23:07:16) Merivo says: moving him may aggravate it.
 (23:07:32) Jacula whispers in Mellas ear as she leans in 'Shangshi.. Don't let him.... don't'
(23:07:33) Shangshi nods his agreement looking back down at Jacula and Mellas.
(23:09:26) Mellas looks over at Shangshi, narrowing her eyes.
(23:09:41) >Boeven Facco stands up.
(23:09:56) Jacula murmurs as he leans his head to the side, eyes still closed.
(23:10:02) Merivo frowns at Mellas' look and turns to Shangshi, suspiciously.
 (23:10:10) Shangshi looks back at Mellas frowning and slightly confused.
 (23:10:54) Shangshi says: What did he say?
 (23:11:19) Jacula gasps slightly as Shangshi speaks.
(23:11:27) Mellas gestures for Shangshi to move back, returning her attention to Jacula. Moving her hands up she tries to take off the ynnwn's helmet.
 (23:12:01) Shangshi steps back and looks between the people present totally confused.
 (23:13:18) Jacula grunts vaguely as his helmet is removed, there seems to be a large dent in it from the fall.
 (23:14:26) >Boeven Facco takes a seat.
(23:14:43) Jacula tries to open his eyes, a stream of blood flowing from his ears.
(23:14:54) >Boeven Facco stands up.
 (23:16:58) Mellas throws the helmet aside and gasps audibly, quickly ripping a piece of cloth from her cape to place it over the bleeding the wound. She recasts her healing spells.
 (23:17:37) Merivo pants
(23:17:46) Merivo says: I've just been to the.....healing place...
(23:17:51) Merivo says: there's no one there
(23:18:01) Jacula slowly opens his eyes, they slowly jump between the faces to his right, stopping as he spots Shangshi. he attempts to whisper, but fails.
(23:18:11) Exyph comes closer to see what is happening there
 (23:19:09) Mellas leans down and kisses Jacula's forehead lovingly. 'Don't worry, we're here to help you.'
(23:19:11) Stelanso looks over Mellas "Any supplies i can fetch to help you here?"
 (23:19:46) Nadirad looks over the balcony and wonders what's going on
(23:19:48) Jacula tries to move his right arm, as if to point towards Shangshii. The stream of blood from his ears seem to have stopped
(23:19:55) Mellas looks over her shoulder at Shangshi. 'Go away.'
(23:20:33) Shangshi glance back at Exyph then back down to Mellas "Why, what did he say?"
(23:21:07) Mellas nods to Stelanso. 'Some clean cloths to bind his head and some water, please.'
(23:21:31) Stelanso nods to Mellas and heads into the tavern.
(23:21:43) Mellas glares at Shangshi. 'Just go, you help best that way.'
(23:22:08) Nadirad says: What happened to him?
(23:22:46) Jacula continues to eye Shangshi, the look in his eyes tells of fear.
(23:22:50) Exyph looks with a question at Shangshi and takes several steps away to observe him
(23:22:57) Shangshi frowns, his head drooped slightly turns and walks off "So be it."
(23:23:01) Mellas gently strokes Jacula's hair, a light presence of crystal magic never fading.
 (23:24:01) >Stelanso takes a seat.
(23:24:45) Jacula looks up at Mellas as he whispers 'Get.. Get him.. Before it's too late' he closes his eyes again, the extent of his injuries seem severe
(23:24:57) Mellas sighs a little, her head spinning with questions better asked later.
(23:25:06) Exyph whispers to Nadirad "Do you know what did happened here?"
(23:25:19) Nadirad whispers back, "I do not know."
(23:25:19) Stelanso comes back panting and offers Mellas some water and some sheets that look like they have been recently be torn from some bed.
(23:25:32) Merivo tests the fall and lands on his feet
(23:25:41) Mellas looks up at Exyph and Nadirad. 'Where did the other elf go? It seems he's up to no good.'
(23:25:57) Merivo says: you told him to go away.
(23:25:58) Merivo says: he did.
(23:26:06) Exyph says: He headed to the plaza, I guess.
(23:26:19) Nadirad looks down at Mellas and Jacula. "I wish I knew, I could help you find him."
(23:26:21) Mellas shoots Stelanso a grateful smile, inspecting the items.
(23:26:46) Jacula grunts vaguely 'F-find him..' before he starts to shiver visibly
(23:26:52) Mellas says: Aye, Merivo, seems like Jacula knows more about him than we do.'
 (23:27:05) Merivo says: I'll find him.
(23:27:15) Merivo says: he's talking about Shangshi right?
(23:27:26) Nadirad says: Yes.
(23:27:43) Merivo says: shall I bring him back here?
 (23:28:38) Nadirad looks horrified. "I saw him here many times earlier and never suspected him to be up to no good."
(23:28:55) Merivo says: I have never trusted him.
(23:29:07) Nadirad says: though I never really knew him.
(23:29:14) Jacula seems to be in pain, twisting slightly on the cold ground.
(23:29:41) Nadirad looks at Jacula , wondering if he is going to live through what is ailing him
 (23:30:00) Mellas takes her own cloth from Jacula's ear now that the bleeding appears to have stopped. Carefully, she dips one of the clean cloths into a water pouch, reaching up to clean the blood from the ynnwn's head.
 (23:31:31) Jacula shivers, the cold temprature of the street seems to be harmful to him.
 (23:32:46) Nadirad looks at Mellas. "Do you know what is ailing him? If I can do anything to help?"
 (23:33:17) Mellas looks down at Jacula with clear concern, drying his head gently now that the blood is gone. 'Just a little longer, my love,' she whispers. 'You can't move anyone with a head injury without having it bandaged.'
 (23:34:13) Mellas shakes her head at Nadirad's question. 'I honestly don't know, the elf who was here earlier seems to bother him very much.'
(23:34:58) Nadirad tilts his head sideways. "Perhaps a harmful spell or a disease."
(23:35:30) Jacula opens his eyes, instinctively he tries to get to his feet, staggering wildly.
(23:35:46) Nadirad looks at Jacula. "Perhaps even poison.
(23:36:44) >Jacula Pundactum stands up.
(23:37:05) Mellas swiftly picks up the other clean cloths that Stelanso brought to bandage Jacula's head. Her eyes widen when he staggers. 'No, don't move!' she exclaims, standing up with him.
(23:37:07) >Mellas Fenixxes stands up.
(23:37:15) Tannak watches the small group with interest.
(23:37:24) Jacula gets to his feet, staggering about before he falls to the ground again.
(23:37:29) >Jacula Pundactum takes a seat.
(23:37:56) Nadirad looks at Jacula in worry
 (23:38:53) Jacula still seems delusional, obviously disoriented by the hard fall 'Is.. Is it gone?'
(23:39:07) Stelanso watches Jacula "Shouldn't we try to get him into a bed to get some rest?"
(23:39:11) Mellas takes this moment to place the bandage around Jacula's head with care. 'Now, just relax, we'll take you somewhere warm.'
(23:39:25) Merivo says: he's awake?
(23:39:45) Nadirad looks down, worried. "We should get him to one of the beds upstairs."
 (23:40:06) >Stelanso stands up.
 (23:40:10) Exyph nods to Nadirad "Yeah, Allelia should permit in this situation"
(23:40:17) Mellas nods to Stelanso and Nadirad. 'Going to help me carry him there?'
 (23:40:26) Nadirad says: Of course.
 (23:40:26) Merivo says: we should check for broken bones first shouldn't we?
(23:40:34) Jacula tries to get to his feet again, clinging to Mellas shoulder
(23:40:42) Merivo says: maybe not
 (23:40:51) Merivo helps lift Jacula up
 (23:41:00) Mellas shakes her head. 'If they were broken, I would've noticed by now.'
(23:41:03) Nadirad says: He seems able to walk, but he'll need help
(23:41:04) Exyph walks to tavern "I'll say to Allelia that we need a bed"
(23:41:10) >Jacula Pundactum stands up.
(23:41:31) Stelanso nods and tries to steady Jacula
 (23:41:41) Jacula staggers slightly, supporting himself against Merivo and Stelanso
(23:41:46) Mellas supports Jacula, keeping an arm around. She smiles up lovingly. 'You're going to be okay... now let's go.'
(23:41:50) Nadirad puts an arm around Jacula's back to stop him from falling
(23:42:20) Merivo places Jacula's arm around his shoulder to help support Jacula
 (23:42:44) Exyph returns and says "Upstairs there is one free bed"

Supported by Nadirad, Mellas, Merivo and Stelanso. Jacula staggers into the tavern and up the stairs, the helpful crowd helps in laying him to rest in one of the beds on the top floor. The soft bed and the warmth of the room seem to do him good, yet many unanswered questions remain. The crowd gather around, curiously observing him.

 (23:52:10) Jacula murmurs something as he twitches slightly in the bed.
(23:52:20) Exyph widens his eyes
 (23:52:44) Nadirad tries to listen carefully
 (23:53:33) Jacula murmurs softly 'ebon eyes... they know-- they know'
 (23:54:32) Mellas shakes her head, placing a finger on Jacula's lips. 'Hush, no harm will come to you, my love. You should rest, sleep.'
(23:54:54) Nadirad looks concerned. "ebon eyes? "
(23:55:07) Mellas nods to Thrathur over her shoulder. 'Greetings.'
(23:55:29) Jacula tilts his head, resting on the pillow. As he appears to have fallen asleep.
 (23:56:35) Mellas leans over Jacula to place a soft kiss on his lips. 'You'll be okay,' she whispers once again, resting by his side.

Jacula drifts of into dreams of past, he is safe for now. Yet his lack of faith has been sensed by powers whose existence is know only by few, the very essence of evil and terror in Yliakum. He sleeps now.. Unknowing, that the hunt for him is on.
 
[I've been absent for a longer time due to some RL events, i'm back in buisness now however. And looking forward to some good roleplaying   hope you enjoy the sequel so far, there is much more to come!]
