Government?
« on: October 08, 2009, 08:08:33 am »
I'm curious, will there ever be significant changes in government as the game progresses? I can imagine pretty interesting scenarios, like an overthrow of the octarchy, splitting of the levels, anarchy, etc. don't think the octarchy would last indefinitely

Well, telling of the future is usually proven to be a hoax. Unless someone has a working crystal ball, you may just have to wait and find out. :)

I doubt anything as tremendous as the overthrow of octarchy will happen too soon. It's possible. Would most likely be easier to conquer gurgontid considering its guards are kran's like Malco Makkar.

as mentioned in another thread Yliakum is currently stuck in a kind of groundhog day in the year 750AY and will probably stay there until the full official 1.0 release

It's very very very very (etc..) doubtful.

whatever, i'll ask a dev later. i just think it's unrealistic (and boring) for the octarchy to rule forever. however i really doubt anyone's ever thought about this

That's actually why communism has such a bad rep. People got bored of it and were like "Hey, let's start democracy for the [poops] and giggles"

I am a dev and the answer to your question is in Groundhog day, how can the government change if it all resets everyday? So no there will not be government changes until the soon(tm) after the first release and no one mentioned forever except you.
