Wipe Discussion Relief Thread

Since the Wipe poll has surpassed the 300 replies marker, and considering the repetitive nature of the thread, it seems appropriate at this time to create a place to vent regarding all the hooplah that thread has created. This, I hope, will be that place.

So, ground rules might be necessary:

1. No arguing about wipe or no wipe in this thread
2. Complaints about that thread are welcome, but let's not make things personal
3. Wipe jokes are a must; they are plentiful and easy to create
4. This is about RELIEF, it is not meant to accomplish anything else. So have fun.

After having read most of the posts on the Wipe Poll, I'm done discussing that topic. I personally have found great solace in trying to make new models for PS, at times it's even more fun than playing! How is everyone else dealing with this cloud over their heads? Oh, and please wipe your shoes off before you come in, I know how dirty it is out there.

"Need" is a strong word, but i felt it would be good for my psychological health if there were a different thread I could look forward to rather than the redundancifest that the Wipe thread has become. I mean, there are only so many times you can read the same 5 or 6 statements before you just wanna claw your eyes out, am I wrong? I just wanna wipe the whole issue from memory.

Still we have the Stats=Character misnomer, wiping the DB wil not remove memories, backstories or old roleplays only you can do that by refusing to treat the wipe as ooc and not roleplaying around the stat/skill loss until you can level up again.

PlaneShift is a Roleplay centric game, stats are there to help your roleplay not define it.
