The horse thing only runs as fast as a normal person can run. The flying beastie... wow, well carefull around Hydaa on one of those :D
must have forgot a number... fill fix it on my own server asap

That changelog reads pretty impressive, regarding public relations, rather well done!
As for its content - not minor impressive!

linux amd64 initial installation would not run on my fresh opensuse 11.2. ran planeshift --repair from the command client and it replaced psclient.bin ( I think it was) from the mirror. I got into the game after that.

Initial impressions: loading times seem to be longer and cause movement problems, default gui positions are stacked and overly large, crashes at map boundaries. Everything looks quite nice. It would make more sense to use /dismount instead of /unmount, not too important.

Game loads and I can run around, I got into the tunnel to the arena and now it crashes every time I move. could be the map boundary effect or something.

Let me know if any of this is news and needs to be put in the bugtracker, I suspect it isn't.

pslaunch seems to have issues on both pc's here running linux x86.
can get ingame with psclient, but slow. Like has been said above... load times are longer and cause movement problems

PSLaunch is a brand new application and it's only been tested on a handful of Tester Team setups before, so I'm not surprised there are some issues with it, especially since we're releasing it for Windows, Mac, Linux and x86/x64 all at once. Hopefully the developers will solve the issues with it soon :) Alternatively, you an try the --console parameter so see if it doesn't crash when it doesn't load the GUI and goes straight to the updater part.

Things XilliX would like to see tested:

-check out the tutorial/levrus quests/and "Drinks in the Deep" to tell how tutorial and audio are working.
-check how dueling on mounts works out for you and report here
-check how torches are doing with lighting environment
-gms check the new gm goodies

NOTE: If you are on win32 uninstalling your previous version of planeshift and then reinstalling the new client may solve problems with black screen or exception access violation.  \\o//

I haven't managed to get in-game yet. I get past char-selection and then it's been loading for many minutes and the bar didn't even make it half through. At this speed it'd probably take close to an hour to get in game, it's loading that slowly (was trying a char at the arena). But before I reached the halfway-mark the server went down again.
I'll try with a char in a different zone when the server is back.
Running WinXP home.
