When I try to open PSLaunch it tells me that there is an update available but that I don't have the correct permissions to install it, and that I need to use an administrator account.  I am the administrator.  Is there maybe a way to launch an updater via terminal that I can just Sudo it, or am I missing some simple fix?

Click the Planeshift folder and then do get info. You have to change your permissions on the folder from read to read and write and then click on the gear wheel icon on the bottom of the window and say to apply the chance to all the contents in the folder.

Sarva, you got the new version to work on Mac? How'd you do it? I ran the updater, and it still won't let me launch the app.

Well I don't use the launcher to start the game since that has never worked for me. I double click on the game app directly and sometimes I have to try it multi times ( my record is like 10 tries before the game would launch). I have been getting the game to work since the early testing on EZ. I only use the launcher to get updates and to make some settings changes and then shut down the launcher and directly launch the game client.

For what it is worth I am using 10.6.2 as my OS.

I have the same methods in 10.5.9  Just pressing relaunch is enough to do the trick, though the number of times is variable.

Finally got it to work. I guess you have to uninstall and delete all of the previous version, then install the new version from scratch. At least that's what I had to do to get it to work. Now I'm up and running, though. Thanks!

Yes to get 0.5 to work I changed the name of the 0.4 folder and trashed the folder in the application support folder. I remembered to save my shortcut file to use with the .5 client but forgot to save my chat logs so I lost all my chat logs :(
