pvp & pk ...i think the \"arena\" idea will go through ...and it seems pretty ok to me.

i don\'t know what these turf-wars would bring except hatred ...i\'m playing PS BECAUSE it\'s NOT like ordinary MMORPGs ...you don\'t bash every person you see, you don\'t \"0\\`\\`n5 t|-|3 |/|0o|3zzz\" ...it\'s a nice relaxing friendly world out there ...don\'t spoil it!!

you want it more like shadowbane? well, go and buy the focking SB, or you can still download the source and make your own game based on PS, CS and CEL :]

Heh, calm down. I didn\'t say that I wanted PS to become a new SB (Never played it before). I\'m not a PK either, I\'m just saying that MRCB (Massive Racist Clan Battles) ;)  would be cool.

BTW. LOL, Massive  :D It\'s supposed to be mas sive. (The devs really need to change that).

EDIT. And they did... :)

i don\'t see a difference actually ...i mean, most people will join guilds, and there\'ll become \"guilds\" that\'d concentrate only on killing others ...so it\'ll just become a big gang-bang ...nah, i\'m still against it ...if two guilds would have a problem with eachother they should either solve it in a peaceful manner or go into the woods or another \"arena\" to settle it the other way

Clan-battles will be included if I have understood it right.
Seen from a RP perspective there is nothing wrong in being racistic. For example, if I play a Drow in a RPG, being racistic is part of my role. As long as it\'s seen from a roleplaying-perspective there is nothing wrong with anything.
What you\'re talking about is griefer-clans who kills people just because they can.

I have a problem with racism actually being enforced in a game.  There\'s plenty of that in real life - it only saddens me to see it even in our entertainment.  Worse, to actually be considered \"cool\".

If it supposedly makes things \"more realistic\", it\'s why I usually play a character completely outside it\'s stereotype.  Since there are few people in the real world that fall into a stereotype, though that\'s all that bigots see.  Oddly enough, when doing this I\'ve been told I\'m not \"rping properly\". *boggle*

Ugh...maybe I\'m getting too old for this stuff...

Racism in your entertainment...
See, in Pen&Paper-RPGs there is also racism included, but its not a rule to play. If the master (game leader) is about to pop up a group of npc-elves right in front of an player-orc group, the players have to decide how to talk to them. It\'s just a personal manner then. But the rulebook says: \"Elves don\'t like orcs, they are brute and dumb. Orcs don\'t like elves, they are arrogant and weak.\" and so on. Call this racism, the players and the master have to handle with this their own way.
I would like to see some racism, but only to get more \"tasty\" situations, not to see some battles and blood. It\'s also a way of RPing... so everybody should consider on his own whether to be a racist to certain races or not.
Not being paranoid doesn\'t mean no one sneaks behind you...

Back to the idea of guilds controlling cities...

Why not organise every month a tournament, in which all guilds could fight, and the winners become administrators of a town ?

Each town would need a definite number of administrators (a duke, a count or a mayor for each, his followers, and guards). For each town there would be a tournament, where the selection will be different for each town : 30 vs 30 for one, 5 vs 5 for a second one, 1 vs 1 for a third one, wisards vs wisards for a fourth one, and other competitions, like relay races, poems, stupid but funny games like \"the one that will be able to bring back the most original creature to a certain place\"... This could make really entertaining events, but of course they would need the GM to be there to be judges.

To go on with my idea, once your guild won a competition, they gain control over a town or a region. They get short-time titles, like \"Lord of ThisTown\" or \"Guard of ThisTown\", maybe the guild makes money, or they get some extra power...

I know my idea is still a little disorderly, but I am sure we can exctract some good in it if discussing it :)

ok, i have to submerge to this fact ...but i haven\'t seen any mentioning of hostility between races in PS (read the story!) ...maybe i\'m wrong, but i don\'t rebember reading anything about hostility

and i don\'t see why this woudn\'t work with the \"arena\" idea ...i still support the \"arena\" idea

...when you think about it it\'s (the \"arena\" idea) still the best we can do with unless we make full PK or even PvP and maybe a newbie shield and live guard players ...that would be great and the most life-like ...but the problem is to find enough very reliable players that would play the guards ...they would get paid and would have supperior accessories and strenghtened abilities by default
