Game is no longer playable!

It happened yesterday: Monday 21. December 2009.

I had a huge lag. The character needed 10, 15 or more seconds for one single step. Chat was not usable. I used other chars in Oja and Krancity. Same result.
So i installed the client after deleting planeshift from the programs folder.
That did not help.
I downloaded from several sources:

After installation i had the same result.

What can i do?

What exactly is your problem?  It seems there are some lag issues, especially when crafting is involved, that are being looked into. If you are having a problem getting your client to start then look at  http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=36455.msg415024#msg415024 and follow the advice under the Get an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error when starting the game... part. Since I did this I have had no problem getting my client to start and I think it has helped overall game performance.

Well, the problem is that the game is not i repeat not playable. ok?
This not not the normal lag. It's really huge. Maybe lag is the wrong word.
Imagine you would need 20 seconds or something for one i mean one step. ok?

it's possible you got the shadercache corrupted and it's continually rebuilding shaders try removing them it's a file named shadercache which is in reality a zip in the planeshift config folder

Bangoor Yes I have seen a few times when I have had the type of lag you talk about.  It isn't the normal situation since it has only happened a few times in al the time I have been on. Sometimes reloging can help. The point is what you are describing isn't normal  and not the situation most people experience normally.

Try looking manually ( ermm, you know what I mean ....) in you PlaneShift config directory.
On my computer (win), shadercache is in the same directory that contains my logs and screenshot folders.

There is no shadercache file!

I don't have a Mac, but I think it is ~/Library/Application support/PlaneShift.
