Client crashes just after level loading

Hi, I have several troubles.
I was able to play (as Enkidukai I started at Akkaio and I have done 9 quests) but when I tryied to go to Hydlaa the textures of Ojaroad were missing: no floor (I don't fall) and moving the character or mouse pointer makes all blurry, so I came back to Akkaio.

Then, I've deleted shadercache and run with --repair parameter... The client crashed.

Repeated the steps for all options in Background Loading (off, model, world), but the client keep crashing just after the level is load... (I can see for almost 2 seconds Brado's Tavern and kaput!)

I have 3d Acceleration enabled on a Intel G33 (I repeat, I was able to play -- 9 quests done and several rogues killed at Akkaio).

Did you try adding ThreadManager.AlwaysRunNow = true to the psclient.cfg file ?  ( after running pslaunch --repair )

Please delete everything and install again. Both the PlaneShift program directory and your ~/.PlaneShift directory before installing.

The problem with the wilderness areas is that your graphics adaptor does not support the shaders used in PlaneShift (I think). Unfortunately there is not much that can be done to correct that issue at this time, but updating your Intel Drivers -may- help you.

I started again (uninstall and install) deleting .Planeshift directory.

Graphic Driver is up-to-date (debian squeeze -testing)
If my graphics adaptor doesn't support shaders in wilderness areas... that's mean that there are more than one method for shaders in game?

I pretty much have the same problem. I can log on like 1/5th of the time. sucks

Gegnir: that sounds like a problem with shadercache. Make sure everything is up-to-date (try moveing vfs.cfg away and repairing), delete the shadercache dir (see vfs.cfg where that should be).

Hello everybody! I'm new to PlaneShift and I experienced similar problems!
I'm running PlaneShift on Ubuntu 9.10 (on HP 530 notebook with integrated Intel graphic) and the problem was that every time I come into the game, I was kicked out for no more than a 10 seconds! So I set GRAPHICS - SHADERS to LOW from default MEDIUM and after that everything was OK.

what folder can I find the shader cache thing?
in linux it should be ~/.PlaneShift/shadercache
I suggest deleting all inside this directory after every update (only except freeze for cca 2 - 5 minutes after loadig world, while the client recompiles all shaders again)

If anyone else apart form me is wondering where this directory is located under Windows

I have not been able to find any directory, but there was a FILE named shadercache (without extension) in my
%APPDATA%\Planeshift directory. I suppose that's it.
