[GM Event] Xiosia visits Yliakum

The Goddess herself visited Jardet's Secret Garden and gave people an audience. She asked for everyone's activities regarding nature and expected pledges for the coming year.

What is that person from the Brotherhood of Talad doing there, spying on his gods rival? Where are the Daughters of Xiosia? Cutthroats and Warmongers worship nature? It seems hard for me to believe some of these people would not have been more appropriate staying away and sending an alt. I could have sent Bilbous but instead sent an alt, even then the one I sent wasn't much of a worshipper, merely stooping to gather some bark scrapings from the back of the tree. I guess he was beneath the goddess' notice. All the same it probably was not a terribly inspired bit of role play on my part but maybe I can try to sell bits of bark if I ever log him on again. Had he thought about it he might never have had the unmitigated gall to do that but I didn't give it a second thought.

Still you had a pretty good turnout from what I saw when I was there. Congratulations.

I know two of us DOX got to see Xiosia the first time she appeared. Not sure if any of the DOX made it to any of the later appearances of Xiosia.

Oh sure Elady I wasn't really criticizing the DOX and certainly when I was there there were more people than these screenies show.

There is kind of a disjunct going on here anyway as the secret garden is not very secret and anyone can go there. I can just see a bunch of evils going in and trashing the place except it cannot actually happen. It might be better if what is there was just the vestibule and the faithful could pass through the tree, say, into another map. Xiosia could still appear in the vestibule on occasion.

the whole event was a bringdown for me
it was gonna be my first xiosia thingy here
and i heard she was in the garden, and i was only have of hydlaa away
but i ended up spending 40 minutes or more crashing and inching my way forward crashing again trying to get to the garden
when i finally got there she was gone......
then later mandrith pulls a quik one and damn near dies

Xiosia looks to Qter, "Very well. All I ask is for you to honor nature and shun atheism."
Xiosia says: Do you accept this pledge?

There was many more people than the images show (and for some reason my character does not appear in any - was rather to the back, by the fountain).

I was sincerely annoyed by people roleplaying opposing her (even there was one who took out a dagger with intent of killing the goddess!) because I really didn't see the point (all gods co-exist, except the mysterious Dark Flame, and there are no true atheists in Yilakum, the so-called atheists are just non-devotes or non-sectarian because everybody knows the gods are real). I also did not see the point of opponents going to the event nor, as follower of Dakkru (this character is), some people raising a supposed opposition between these two goddesses (aren't life and death two sides of the same thing, very specially in PS?)

With all that and Xioxia apparently affected by heavy lag due to the multitude, I can only imagine how difficult it was for whoever played her to do it properly.

But I liked the rivnak, as I had never seen one before.
