Dark Night Of Truth

Jaida swept another mug of cider and stared at one of the nearby paintings which depicted all levels of Yliakum. Rigwyn’s words still stung her heart as the gentle intoxication of the cider gently embraced her. She had been so foolish to think that she would ever see her brother.  She couldn’t help to blame herself for what had happened, if she had not been so consumed with the new impressions of the city she might have found him before it was too late. She rose from her seat on unsteady legs as she fumbled for her last hexas to pay Allelia, before walking out into the empty street outside. She sighted deeply at the sight of the dull architecture that met her as she wandered down the path to the Plazaa. Wondering why the gods had played such a cruel trick on her. Not knowing what else to turn she sought herself to the iron temple, as she walked over the courtyard towards the temples gates a dark presence carried by the wind made itself know. She turned around to find the darkened path as empty as before, yet the uncomfortable feeling of someone following her remained.
Quickly she hurried inside the temple, greeted only by silence as she walked down the aisle. The desolated rows of benches had grown the feel smaller; the fact that she had outgrown the place where she had been educated brought a surreal feeling to her mind. She trailed off into a narrow corridor where a robust ladder could be found. She climbed it on unsteady legs and after a short walk she found herself standing before an orb of magic wonder, the fabled book of names floating within the illuminated azure surface.

She kneeled down clasping her hands together instinctively praying for guidance in her predicament. Rigwyn had spoke of Garosan as member of a band of thieves, tears began to roll down her cheeks as she recalled how he said that they had stabbed and beaten her brother to death. She clasped her hands even harder as she bowed her head, praying for clarity in what had to be done. Rigwyn’s words came to mind again upon which she closed her tear-filled eyes.

“Better to take a small action on your own than to spend the day in prayer. It makes no sense for me to say Laanx, come do my bidding”

Jaida shivered where she sat, crossing her arms to warm herself. That vicious snake Garosan had seemed so helpful, ensnaring her in a sense of security as they had met in the tavern. Rigwyn had made her see clear in her mind, the hours she had kneeled before the temple’s relics wasted. A sudden movement cut through the silence or the room, a dark presence seeming to absorb the air as it approached her. Thick dark smog filled her lungs as where she sat, unable to move she gasped for air as she fell onto her back. Her muscles constricted, causing her to shake frantically on the cold ground. As her eyes began to close a blurred figure approached, placing a sealed note in her twitching hands before disappearing.
She awoke with a gasp, her face pressed gently against the intricate floor. Her grip tightened around the note as she slowly got to her feet, a searing headache tormenting her as she sat down at the base of the magic orb. She struggled to make out the daft handwriting, finding that the letter was marked with her name. She looked around weary of the assailant, yet the room had returned to its previous silent ambience. She tore the letter open with her fingernails, struggling to make out the vague lettering. Her eyes widened as the sentences came together, an uncomfortable feeling of anger filling her heart.

"The one who caused you all this pain
Can be found in Hydlaa’s outskirts
Search for a shack carved in ancient wood
To the southwest of those banished."

She swallowed hard as she read the letter over and over, her eyes widening as numerous theory’s came to mind, yet one in particular stood out from the others “Garosan.. You will pay for what you did to my brother” she whispered to herself. Rigwyn had warned her of the corrupt guards who operated in Hydlaa. Not wanting to get him into trouble she realized that she would have to go alone, his claims empowering her decision.

“The guards will never believe you. They have the guards fooled too. I suspect that his friends and him are part of some sort of organization. I don't know how many of them there are .. but I suspect its more than one or two. The last thing we need is for them to claim that you are mad or something. You have no proof to go against their word."

Haven taken his words to heart she knew what had to be done. Fueled by anger and the grave fate her brother had suffered she stood tall, beginning her journey to the outskirts. She hummed to herself, the wisdom that Rigwyn had spoke reminding itself as she made her way through the darkness of the night.

"When all seems dark and gloomy
When you feel like the gods have abandoned you
Like they left you in the dark all alone
When you feel no joy; when you see no light at the end of the tunnel
That is when you see the clearest.

At those times your mind if free of all illusions.
At those times you see things for what they really are”

“Oh, dark night of truth” she exclaimed at the sight of the shack, her anger peaked at the sight of light through the small window.
To be continued...

"The Death Of Jacula"
[The material that follows might prove disturbing to some readers, disgression is adviced]
“Oh, dark night of truth” she exclaimed at the sight of the shack, her anger peaked at the sight of light through the small window.

Jacula had lit a fire which brought warmth to the icy ambience of the shack. He sat solemnly on an old hide which rested over the dusty boards which served as a floor. He watched idly as the flames licked the rusty iron grate which had been scorched beyond recognition. Now and then a spark would pop out of the burning wood and paper, landing on the cold floorboards before fading. Much like fire Jacula had burned those who sought to expose him, the evidence of his endeavors reduced to ash by the Blackflame itself. He looked down at his thick-skinned hands, his knuckles covered with cuts and bruises. His fingers adorned with exquisite rings which spoke of a life shrouded in wealth. Yet as he through the experiences of his life had learned, appearance is deceiving.

Jaida slowly approached the shack which stood supported by thick lumber pillars in all four corners, the wood visibly bleached by the surrounding wilderness. The darkness served as her cloak as she carefully sneaked up to the narrow window, slowly trailing her hands over the bleached wood in search of a reliable grip. She held her breath as she began to straighten up, her eyes peering through the narrow window. Her gaze focused in on a man sitting with his back turned, seemingly staring into the fire which illuminated the inside of the shack. His wide shoulders raised themselves before slowly falling as the man let out a vague grunt. Jaida was unable to identify him given the thick hood which rested upon his head, yet blinded by her theory she came to the conclusion that it had to be Garosan. As the sweat on her hands began to loosen her grip on the bleached wood she swiftly attempted to regain it, a sharp splinter dug into her finger causing a vague moan to escape her mouth in pain. Jacula awoke from his solemn state as an odd noise could be heard through the peaceful crackle of the fire. His eyes snapped to the barricaded door before wandering to the narrow window. He slowly rose to his feet and turned, the floorboards creaking under his weight as he approached the window with heavy steps. He gazed out into the wilderness which was clad in darkness of the peaceful night, pondering if his ears had simply played a trick on him.

Jaida crouched under the window, her eyes closed as she struggled to hold her breath. Her heart skipped a beat every time the man gazing out the window took a breath. His presence brought sheer terror to her mind as she suddenly began to shiver. The man remained standing by the window for what seemed like an eternity, her predicament started to grow unbearable as her knees slowly started to bend under her weight. With tears in her eyes she found herself begging to Laanx that she would remain unseen.
Jacula shrugged as the crisp night air finally brought calm to his senses. He turned and sought himself back to his previous state by the fire, his mind once again transcending into solemn thoughts. He contemplated over the situation of his alleged sister, wondering if it would be wise to contact her. Yet soon enough the little empathy he had left reminded itself, he would do nothing but destroy the hopes and dreams of this person. It would be for the best to leave her be.
Jaida slowly opened her eyes at the sound of creaking floorboards. Realizing that the man had returned to his previous position by the fire she pressed herself against the wall, reaching for a bottle of alcohol which she had brought with her in her satchel. Her fingers trembled as she unscrewed the cork before stuffing a filthy rag down the bottle. She remained pressed against the wall as tears slowly sought themselves down her cheeks, knowing the sin of the horrific crime she was about to commit. Yet the supposed death of her brother reminded itself, her sorrow transcending into anger as she rose to her feet. She swiftly lit the cloth before throwing the bottle onto the dry roof of the shack “This is for what you did to my brother!” she screamed from the bottom of her lungs before darting off into the wilderness, running as fast as her legs could carry her.
Jacula quickly rose from the hide on the floor given a loud scream. He darted towards the narrow window, catching a glimpse of a tall figure running towards the wilderness. The smell of smoke soon filled his nostrils as he looked up into the roof. Flames quickly spread in the dry wood, a burning substance seeping through the poor isolation onto the floor. He eyes watered in the thick smoke as he quickly made for the door which he had earlier barricaded, he panted heavily as he reached for the keys in his belt to open the various locks which sealed the door shut, yet the smoke soon blinded him. With a snarl he tried to kick the door down, but to no avail. The flames quickly spread over the floors scorching everything in their way, the temperature growing increasingly unbearable. He trailed his fingers over the burning walls in search of his axe, yet the given his panicked breathing the smoke soon brought him to his knees. He twitched frantically as the flames began to scorch his body, with a loud snap a supporting beam fell from the roof, pinning him against the floor. Struggling to breathe he screamed in agony as the vicious heat began to melt his skin, the flames feasting on his roasting flesh.

Jaida panted as she had reached the outline of trees which would lead her into the thick wilderness. She turned around met by an enormous cloud of black smoke which rose into the crystal. Suddenly a torturous roar rose from the burning shack, sending chills shooting up her spine. The birds which had sought themselves into the foliage above her scattered as if struck with fear, leaving no question of Garosan’s alleged agony.  The scorched lumber pillars supporting the shack eventually fell. Leaving only a pile of burning debris. Jaida’s heart pounded wildly as she proceeded into the woods, knowing she had given her brother justice. Yet crushed by the despicable crime she had committed.

Jacula remained pinned under the beam, the air filled by the smell of burning flesh and sound of the vicious blaze reducing the shack to a pile of glowing debris. A single though crossed his mind as the pain forcefully embraced him, his will to survive. The beam was slowly reduced to a charred husk, his skin scorched beyond recognition. Blinded and about to be smothered by the thick smoke he reached for a glypth tucked into the pocket of his burning robe. With his last ounce of strength his disfigured lips uttered a spell, causing fierce winds to spread within the burning debris. The winds smothered the fire around him, stirring up the ash and scorched wood into the dark night. Lifting the charred beam from his chest. On burnt legs a man rose from the glowing remains of the shack, born of ash and bred by fire. Eyes glowed with magic fury, his face disfigured by the vicious flames. His very soul left in the scorched remains. A life had ended, for in the mind of the creature that rose from the fire. There was only darkness.

"Scorched"

His very soul left in the scorched remains. A life had ended, for in the mind of the creature that rose from the fire. There was only darkness.”

The moist grass brought little soothing to Jacula’s scorched feet as he slowly staggered towards the thick wilderness. The distinct stench of burning flesh rose to the crystal along with the black smoke which exuded from the burning debris remaining of the shack. He trailed his fingers over his disfigured face, leaving only a mixture of soot and boiled blood on his fingertips. A searing pain plagued his scorched body; every step he took brought a torturous sting to his flayed feet. The painful contrast of the moist grass against his bare skin eventually brought him to his knees, his screeching panting growing exceedingly violent as his fingers dug into the hard soil. Jacula’s eyes wandered over his charred arms, his tattoos had been blurred into massive pulps of black ink by the searing flames.

Jaida ran as fast as she could, repeatedly tripping and struggling to regain her footing in the rough terrain.  Consumed by her escape she didn’t notice how a branch ripped her jade amulet from her neck, leaving it dangling on a branch as she continued to run as fast as her legs could carry her, wanting to outrun the stench of burning flesh and the guilt of her crime.

Driven by the malign thirst for revenge Jacula began to crawl, the icy friction of the moist grass slowly grinding the away the sooty crust the fire had left on his skin. What seemed like an eternity passed before he reached the outline of trees which would lead one into the thick wilderness. His eyes glowed fiercely, like a pair of ebon jewels plucked from the bowels of the death realm. The terrain of the wilderness was paved with sticks and stones, proving an unbearable surface to crawl upon. After a few hundred yards the agony took charge, forcing him up against the bark of a nearby tree. His screeching gasps for air faded as he realized that he would not be able to find his assailant in this state. The wilderness was clad in darkness, the vague shimmer in his eyes growing weaker as he desperately looked around himself. The illuminated moss around him seemed to draw him in, as if tempting him to take his last breath and thus fall into an eternal slumber. His eyes snapped to a jade pendant which had been tangled into the nearby branches of the tree, its leather cord seemingly ripped from someone who had been in a hurry. Slowly he reached out to grab it, and as he brought it closer to his eyes he could see that it had been cut in the shape of a serpent. The insignia of the Laanx temple.

"as he brought it closer to his eyes he could see that it had been cut in the shape of a serpent. The insignia of the Laanx temple."
He squeezed the pedant in the flayed palm of his hand, a screeching roar echoed through the wilderness. Striking fear in all of the creatures which resided within. A flash of crystal magic illuminated Jacula’s body, a spell with the sole purpose of rendering him able to bestow the same pain on his assailant.
Jaida’s ears perked up as another chill slowly crawled up her spine. The vicious roar which echoed through the rough terrain brought tears to her eyes. She picked up the pace weary of the beasts that resided within the wilderness, the guilt of her crime and the questions that remained consuming her mind. Who had followed her into the temple and left her the note that very night?

"The Guilt Of Jaida"

Quote
Jaida’s ears perked up as another chill slowly crawled up her spine. The vicious roar which echoed through the rough terrain brought tears to her eyes. She picked up the pace weary of the beasts that resided within the wilderness, the guilt of her crime and the questions that remained consuming her mind. Who had followed her into the temple and left her the note that very night?

Jaida had made her way back to Hydlaa in the cover of darkness, her legs stung by the sharp brush and her knees sore from stumbling through the rough terrain of the wilderness. Her heart pounded heavily as she passed through the north gate. Weary of the statuesque posture of the guards that watched over the area. On unsteady legs she rushed past an approaching patrol, seeking herself into a nearby alley clad in shadows. She pressed herself against the sturdy stone wall before burrowing her face in her palms, crying her heart out given the unbearable guilt that haunted her.  “Laanx.. What have I done?” she exclaimed in-between her sobs. Anger had guided her hand in her foul crime, the alleged death of her brother caused by Garosan having led her astray from her lawful ways. A guard suddenly passed by the alley, noticing the lowly sobs within.
Kaslim stopped in his tracks as his ears perked up, he sniffed the air exuding from the alley wearily, his fangs instinctively exposing themselves.
Jaidas eyes widened at the sight of a paw threading upon the filthy cobblestone which paved the alley. Hear heart nearly beating through her chest as a crafty menki clad in plate armor suddenly stood before her.
Kaslim tilted his head as he carefully sniffed the air around Jaida, he knitted his brow with concern as he extended his paw to help the ynnwn to her feet “Grennsholo inuinyba, can I give you help?”. Learning the common tongue had proved exceedingly difficult to Kaslim, having been born and bred in the Kore dsar of Ojaveda and recently stationed in Hydlaa as reinforcement to the city guard. Surprisingly the ynnwn showed reluctance to his gesture.  “This is dangerous place during night” he insisted.
Jaida pressed herself harder against the sturdy wall, shunning the presence of the guard. Her breathing grew panicked as pearls of sweat formed on her brow. Unable to reason, unable to think knowing what fate she would suffer in the dreadful prison of Hydlaa she rose to her feet and simply ran.
Kaslim hissed as the ynnwn bumped into his armored shoulder before making off towards the plazaa. He simply shrugged at the antic, the ynnwn did not look like a typical criminal and thus he decided to continue his patrol. Jaida paced towards the plazaa, looking over her shoulder in the fear that she was being followed. The guilt had rendered her desperate, and she only knew one man who she trusted enough to help her.

A flash of crystal magic illuminated Jacula’s body, a spell with the sole purpose of rendering him able to bestow the same pain on his assailant.”

Jacula wandered the desolate wilderness, every step sending an agonizing sting up his spine. The pain rushed back and forth in his body bringing a distinct feeling to his mind, a heightened sense of his surroundings. He reeked of soot and burning flesh, the strong winds that rocked the thick branches of the trees unable to dampen the stench. After hours of walking aimlessly he finally collapsed onto the ground, his eyes wandering back into his skull as he drifted off into denial.

The first rays of the azure sun broke through the foliage the trees. The warmth they brought slowly began to invigorate the wretched wilderness, the grinding sticks and stones on the ground smothered in grass soft as the finest of silk. The brilliant rays slowly wandered over the lush flora, the light seeming to gather in a nearby pond. On flayed feet Jacula approached the glistening water, kneeling on a soft spot of moss which could be found by the water’s edge. A gentle breeze seemed to simply sweep the stench of his charred body into the crystal, replacing it with the soft scent of the grass. He carefully looked down at his reflection, his teeth glinting in the brightest of white, his skin smooth and sparkling with vitality. He smiled brightly as his ebon eyes seemed to glisten in the clear water. The reflection suddenly faded before transcending into the face of his beloved. Mellas image soon became clear in the glistening water, there were several flowers resting in her blonde hair. She smiled lovingly at him as she reached out, as if wanting him to take her hand. He carefully extended his hand in return. Yet as his fingers touched the delicate surface the water suddenly turned clear, the small circles forming on the glistening surface quickly spreading to the edge of the pond.  The lush flora around him shriveled, and the soft moss he sat kneeled upon crumbled into ashes. The warmth that the rays of the sun had brought transcended into a searing heat. The trees around him suddenly burst into vicious flames before embracing his body in a scorching blaze. The fire ate away at him, leaving a disfigured husk of his past self. As he looked down into pond a monstrous reflection appeared. Eyes glowing with chaotic energy, his skin scorched beyond recognition by the merciless heat.

" Eyes glowing with chaotic energy, his skin scorched beyond recognition by the merciless heat."

Jacula awoke with a scream and found himself lying in a desolate glade, violent screeching gasps could be heard as he sat up straight and looked down at the state of his body. He was still holding the serpent pendant he had found, he squeezed it in the palm of his hand as he looked into the foliage of the trees, cold sweat rushing down his scorched brow. A screeching roar rose to the crystal and echoed through the wilderness. “I will find you.. You will feel my pain!”

"Jacula awoke with a scream and found himself lying in a desolate glade, violent screeching gasps could be heard as he sat up straight and looked down at the state of his body. He was still holding the serpent pendant he had found, he squeezed it in the palm of his hand as he looked into the foliage of the trees, cold sweat rushing down his scorched brow. A screeching roar rose to the crystal and echoed through the wilderness. “I will find you.. You will feel my pain!”"

Hydlaa had a different feel to it as Jacula entered the north gate. A thick mist rode low over the streets, concealing the filth which laid as a thick crust upon the stone. Icy winds sought themselves through the thick fabric of his robe, bringing a uncomfortable feeling to his mind. The feeling remained as he waded through the sewers. Wild theory's spun around in his head. As he entered the temple the feeling worsened, the usually familiar ambiance seemingly altered. With a flick of his wrist he summoned a groffel and sent it on it's way with a note in it's mouth. He fell to his knees before the altar, searching his mind for a logical explanation for what had transpired.

The ragged groffel quickly paced through the sewers and made it's way to the surface. It searched Hydlaa frivolously, seemingly more concerned with the various scents of bread and freshly caught fish than the scent of the one who was to receive the note. A rough cut Diaboli could be seen making his way over the plazaa. The groffel sniffed the air around the man for a moment before dropping a note onto the ground. The letter was written in a poor, uneducated handwriting which stated 'Meet me where the whisper is host' the letter had been signed with a smudge of blood and reeked of something that had been badly burnt.

Rigwyn read the note and looked up into the crystal. He then brought the note to his lips and ate it, not wanting anyone to find it. "On the way" he thought to himself as he jumped into the saddle of his drifter.

upon entering the temple he found a cloaked man standing with his hands clasped behind his back, upon looking closer he realized that his hands had been horrifically burnt. Rigwyn swerved around on his drifter to get a better look at the man, he sniffed and wrinkled his nose as he took note of the strangers burned hands and foul stench.

Jacula turned to Rigwyn slowly. He observed him from the corner of his eye before he raised a hand, a small jade pendant laid visible in his flayed palm. He turned to Rigwyn completely and motioned him closer with a gesture of one of his scorched fingers.

Rigwyn looked Jacula's heavily burnt hand and decided to unmounted his drifter and step closer. "That charm you hold.." he said with a hint of suprise in his voice. He looked closer, curious of whom it had been aquired from "Where did you get that ..And who are you?"

Jacula tossed the serpent pendant to Rigwyn without uttering a word.
Rigwyn catched the pendant and looked at it closely, running his fingers along the contours of the serpent, "This is a Laanx charm. Surely your not one of them !?"

Jacula carefully removed his hood leaving his masked face exposed, he spoke in a disturbingly screeching voice. As if his vocal cords has been damaged by something 'I was known simply as Jacula'
Rigwyn looked at Jacula with an amazed expression. He walked around him as if not believing the change in his appearance.
Jacula removed the mask, exposing his dreadfully disfigured face. His eyes burning with sheer hatred.

Rigwyn asked numerous questions at once, seemingly confused from what he saw "What happened to you? And how to did you get this charm?. It looks just like Jaida's, he thought to himself.

Jacula smacked his disfigured lips before he let out a twisted snarl 'Who does this trinket belong to?'
Rigwyn answered flatly "It looks exactly like the one Jaida wore."
Jacula got a blank look in his eyes when Jaidas name was uttered. He fixed his gaze with the floor as he seemed to tremble with anger. Rigwyn brought the charm to his nose and inhaled deeply, examining the scent.

The diaboli seemed certain as he exclaimed 'This is hers. I'm very sure. It has a very fine aroma that I recall smelling.'
Jacula let a vile growl escape his scorched lips 'Where can I find this wench.. Where can I find my sister?' he seemed to shudder with rage as he trailed a few fingers over his charred chin.

Rigwyn manipulated the charm in his fingers before looking back at Jacula "The last time I saw her was when I told her that Garosan was causing a lot of trouble for innocent folks " Rigwyn continued  "I haven't seen her since. But if I were lookin for her. I'de try lookin in front of the Laanx temple."
Jacula cupped his charred chin in the palm of his hand, looking Rigwyn up and down as his eyes filled with malevolence 'How did she now where to find me?'
He watched Rigwyns reaction closely for he only deemed three men capable of acquiring such information. Had Rigwyn been the one who had left her the note?

The diaboli seemed baffled "What ? I told her you were permanently dead." he seemed to ponder his his next words before adding "And I left her believin that for her own good." his eyes widened slightly as if having reached a realization "You not sayin she did this to you?"

Jacula raised his voice into a snarl which soon transcended into a roar 'Who told her where to find me!?' he took a step towards Rigwyn as he got an unstable look in his eyes, seemingly capable of chargeing the diaboli in anger.

Rigwyn glared at Jacula, clearly angered by his tone "I told ya I dont know!"
he growled before adding "How would I even know where ya were eh?"
Jacula scratched his chin as his eyes wandered over Rigwyn, his anger having rendered him to draw wild theory's. He calmed himself down slightly before hissing 'I want her to feel my pain'

"She did this to you?" Rigwyn asked in disbelief "If she did then she's one terrific liar. I was convinced that she was not an assassin" Rigwyn looked down for a moment and then back at Jacula again, angry with himself for having misjudged Jaida. Jacula began to take deep, screeching breaths 'She screamed.. "This is for what you did to my brother".. Who told her to find me.. Who has been watching me?' he said as he contemplated.

Rigwyn seemed angered of what he had been imparted on. "If I had any idea that she was an assassin I would a killed her and painted the laanx temple with her blood ! I swear !' he exclaimed viciously, seemingly weary of Jaculas suspicions.
Jacula let his eyes dart around the room before they slowly began to dig into Rigwyn's, seemingly unconvinced by his notions.

"I never told her to find you. I led her to believe that you were toast, permanently dead." he explained before adding "And nobody was around either! We talked out in an open field where i could see in every direction."

Jacula clenched his charred fists, the hint of honesty in Rigwyn explanation leading him to other theory's 'But who.. Nobody could have known.. Nobody can see.. Everything..' he voice trailed off at the last word as he slowly turned to the altar. He let out an disturbing screech from the bottom of his lungs 'Does this wench trust you?'

Rigwyn nodded eagerly as he responded "Yes, I get that impression. Heh heh .. In fact, I think she's into me" his lips parted in a devilish grin.
Jacula stared at Rigwyn with a malign glisten in his eyes 'Hurt her.. Break her heart.. Cause her suffering'

Rigwyn looked at Jacula while he squeezed the pendant in his hands. Small pieces of jade began to crumble to the floor "I swear on the whisper, she will pay dearly ... after a brief inquisition"
Jacula raised a finger and swirled it around in the air as a chaotic energy seemed to glow from his eyes 'But leave the pain to me.. I will make her feel what I have felt.. She will scream, and she will beg.. When I cut her tongue from her mouth and feed it to her' his voice soon trailed off into disturbing ramblings 'She will pay.. By the true god she will pay'

Rigwyn looked to the altar and then back at Jacula "Before we off her. It would be wise to find out how she knew of your whereabouts"
Jacula smacked his disfigured lips as he trailed his fingers over the destroyed surface of his chin 'She will talk, fret not brother.. She will talk'
Rigwyn answered simply "Im sure she will." he looked back at Jacula before adding "How did she do this to you ? Is she a red way mage or something? "
Jacula asked flatly, to bring ease to his mind 'Do you feel for this woman?' he stared consumed by anger on the intricate floor given his question 'She lit my shack on fire, I nearly burned to death'

Rigwyn answered coldly "No, I could care less about her."Jacula nodded solemnly, happy with his answer 'Good.. It seems that I have placed my faith with the right person' Rigwyn seemed driven by the task at hand before exclaiming
"May the whisper frighten Laanx from thy path." before departing.
