Well buried plant
« on: January 25, 2010, 03:47:03 pm »
Please check this out: the Devils Claw plant is buried too deep to see, much less to retrieve.  I did manage to get one plant (by accident I'm sure), so I do know positively that it is the correct plant...  However, I have only seen it once more, after hours of searching, because of a fluke in the graphics, but I wasn't able to pick it.
my name is Sanrai ;)

If you can get close to it, you can target it with the /target command, and then pick it up using /pickup, even if its below the gound this will work.

Still something that should be fixed though. Plants should grow above the ground and visible. Otherwise it will be VERY hard to find them.

actually you can target things you can't see as long as you're within range
Code: [Select]
/target next nearest item will cycle through everything in range

Unless you're talking about roots or something that specifically grows underground, like potatoes.  But there is usually some sort of above ground indicator...the plant end of things.  But yeah, at present if it's completely under ground, it needs to be corrected.  Same goes for the floating hops just outside the forest path on BDroad1.  But such things are low priority considering everything else that needs attention.
