Right now the project is at the point where it is being created, all the extra flora and fauna that you would like are coming. I can attest to it, since when I started there was nothing in the way of herbs. You are looking at a game that is going to be in development for a long time.

I know,  :offtopic: , but we do have a couple more animals in there that isn't accounted for by a model, yet.
Take some of the weapons we got for instance, Owl's, Fox's, Eagle's, Bear's, Serpent's. Also some of the NPCs dealing with hides talk about fox and bear fur, so it's not just names for weapons ;)
Going to the Iron Temple makes you as much of a Laanx follower as going to Harnquist makes you a furnace.

"There must be thousands of starfish, if not millions along the beach! What you're doing won't matter!" The Stonebreaker smiled, picked up another starfish, and hurled it back into the water. "It mattered to that one."

You miss the point of what he says  "It mattered to that one."
As for starfish, have you never seen the crystal light glinting off a wet fish, looks like a star, hence he calls them starfish ^^
So before you nitpick, understand the meaning behind the words.
He gave back the gift of life to one that would had he not threw it back died without hope, so he and his friends are giving you back hope of a better life.
Glad to help.

Its not an ecosystem, its a video game. If they were to perfectly simulate an ecosystem they would have to create the whole planet from scratch. I guess we should just be thankful that this wasn't called The Dragon Alliance.

But at least Dragons have some tough attitude to them.

I have to agree with weltall and Mord, you haven't paid enough attention to the world they have made for you to roleplay in, there is a massive fantasy world and your choosing to name your alliance after real world stuff.

I find this roleplay/alliance lacking much in the way of immersion. I'll personally be avoiding taking part.

yliakum is massive, akaiddo? well, men like to exaggerate don't they.

there's not enough settings info on wildlife. players don't have much to work on.

I take it you've never really looked at PSWiki http://pswiki.xordan.com/index.php?title=Creatures

If you're going to complain that PlaneShift is not big enough or detailed enough for your liking, either join the team and help make more, or go somewhere else.

Those of us who are good roleplayers and care about the game will tend to avoid roleplays and guilds with no adherance to settings.

*geoduck?

DO you even know what a geoduck is? Wind wouldn't blow them on a beach, they're sand burrowing molluscs.

Either way, they don't wash up after storms. You have to dig for them.

i take it you've never read the pswiki. proves my point.

i'm too young to join the team, nor do i want to. i'm here to say that ps needs more creatures for roleplay's sake.

Speaking of reading...

There are books in-game that could possibly help. Not quite a starfish but certainly more within settings:

"Qulam - A species of shellfish that resides in lakes and rivers. Loved by diaboli and attyrs among other species. Most are edible, but those that sit on the Lower Field and the Deep (the seventh and eighth levels, respectively) produce pearls and are not eaten. Qulam shells can also be used as decoration."

With a little story tweaking I think attyrs could work as well but, I'll let you guys look that one up yourselves. ;)
