exporting smooth objects from blender to CS
« on: February 10, 2010, 07:53:43 pm »
I'm on windows and i have blender2cs 0.7.0 exporter installed, but while in some older version i had no problems finding the smooth property for an object in the exporter menu I'm not seeiing it anymore.
Who knows where is it or how export objects as smooth to CS from blender?

I am surprised that the B2CS exporter shall have an option to declare a whole object as smooth; shouldn't the plugin use the smoothing groups defined in Blender - so you can have smoothed areas of polygons surrounded by sharp edges (imagine e.g. a cylinder or cone)?

okey LigH :]

it appears that the 0.7 exporter reads smoothed objects, directly from the blender ;p (thanx for pushing me in the right direction)
And since you are saying that CS can have separate faces within one object smoothed, while other dont, it's likely that the exporter supports that too, since in blender one can set separate faces smooth too.
I just dont have time to build a nice scene where I could spot that.
