 Heh, at first I was going to post a new topic, then remembered how people feel about making new threads, then searched. Now I have a warning that says;
Quote from: System
Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 20 days. Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic.
Things seem contradictory.

My Suggested List (only those I've read):
  • Dragaeran Series by Steven Brust: Taltos, Yendi, Dragon, Jhereg, Teckla, Phoenix, Jhegaala, Athyra, Orca, Issola, Dzur, Iorich. The Phoenix Guards, 500 Years After, The Path's of the Dead[The Viscount of Adrilankha(the third book) is split into three books, this is the first], The Lord of Castle Black, Sethra Lavode.(He's good at irony and the physical world, and for the last TPG and VoA; hahahahaahehehehoohehahahahaHaHA)
  • Elemental Masters Series by Mercedes Lackey: The Fire Rose, The Serpent's Shadow, The Gates of Sleep, Phoenix And Ashes, The Wizard of London, Reserved for the Cat.
  • Heralds of Valdemar by Mercedes Lackey: The Black Gryphon, The White Gryphon, The Silver Gryphon, Magic's Pawn, Magic's Promise, Magic's Price, The Oathbound, Oathbreakers, Oathblood, Take A Thief, By The Sword, Arrows of the Queen, Arrow's Flight, Arrow's Fall, Winds of Fate, Winds of Change, Winds of Fury, Storm Warning, Storm Rising, Storm Breaking, Owlflight, Owlsight, Owlknight. (She is good at emotions and intrigue.)
  • The Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey: Dragonflight, Dragonquest, The White Dragon, Dragonsong, The Renegades of Pern, Dragonsinger, Dragondrums, Dragonsdawn, All the Weyrs of Pern, Dragonseye, The Masterharper of Pern, The Skies of Pern, The Smallest Dragonboy, The Girl Who Heard Dragons, Dragon's Kin, Dragonsblood, Dragon's Fire (this list isn't in the order I read them in, or the order they should be read. There are a couple parts you can really ruin for yourself if you don't read them in the right order). (She's good at general world building, and also emotions.)
  • Pit Dragon Series by Jane Yolen; is no longer just a trilogy.
  • The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede: Dealing with Dragons, Searching for Dragons, Calling on Dragons, Talking to Dragons. (Children's books, like Harry Potten, but an entertaining read.)
  • Keys to the Kingdom by Garth Nix: Mister Monday, Grim Tuesday, Drowned Wednesday, Sir Thursday, Lady Friday, Superior Saturday. Lord Sunday I have not read.
  • House of Leaves. (‼?‼)
  • The Imager Portfolio by Leland Modesitt: Imager, Imager's Challenge. Imager's Intigue isn't out yet. (Politics, intrigue, philosophy. Very real, if a few flaws. Might actually be better than Lackey, but no good with emotions, just the wit that goes around them.)
  • Beowulf by the Anglo-Saxon People, translation by Seamus Heaney.
  • Robert Heinlein, Grandmaster Writer. The Puppet Masters, Waldo, Magic Inc. (all in one book). Have Space Suit, Will Travel. Between Planets. Double Star.
  • The Unlikely Ones by (I can't recall, and failed searching, read it if you can.)
  • Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. (Almost everyone needs to read this at some point.)
  • Wesley the Owl by Stacey O'Brien. (It's a bunch of life experiences; I liked the man who produced, in his own body, and sold parasites . He was quite healthy for the job.)

I knew a retarded guy once who memorized every ingredient on every box of cereal sold in the united states. If you said "fruitty pebbles" he's start iterating over the list instantly.

Anyway, back on topic.

"Green eggs and ham" - dr. Seuss

I'm tempted to use this quote as my signature, but I'll just be careless about it.

Anyway, back on topic:

Night: by Elie Weizel. a very horrifying book to read, but I can just feel pain in every sentence as I read it.

Bastard out of Carolina by Dorothy something...: Not a bad book for me, because it takes place in the city I live in. I can also understand all of the white trash characters because I've dealt with them before lol.

Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson: Mindblowing book full of metaphors and symbols. It entertained me and was a great read for me. A good choice for my first science fiction book.

The Satanic Verses by Salmon Rushdie
