game runs horribly slow or not at all

Any ideas why I am getting about 1 frame per second? Fullscreen runs even slower than windowed.

p4 2000 mhz
512 mb ram
Radeon 8500
Windows 98 SE

The \"safe\" mode doesn\'t even run at all and just gives me a \"Can\'t create DirectDraw device\" error.

I would say that your version of Windows of Direct X is a problem, may be your driver version.
Also some people have reported problems with Radeon....
