The Cup got off to a shaky start due to technical problems.   But, regardless of that, I believe that a good time was had by most.

The contestants shared a hearty meal provided by Master Chef, Elady, before the battle and, although all shunned cleansing themselves form the water pails before the start, their enthusiasm for the battle ahead was very catching and admirable.

There was a modest turn out in the stands so no noisy crowd control was required.

All of the contestants died save for Asiek and Heleckie from Diamond Claw.  But, due to unforseen technical difficulties during the battle, the trophy was not awarded to Diamond Claw and we are now working to resolves these difficulties before the next Cup.

The next Champion's Cup will be held the first Saturday in June at a time and place yet to be decided.

Prepare your weapons........

I was slightly annoyed by the bug. However, if it wasn't for it, I would have died faster XD

Overall it was a great fight...I will miss Asiek though  :'(

I have an ego so large it has it's own gravity. So in short, yes, everything does revolve around me.

Asiek is back and fighting fit!!     \\o//

Unfortunately though, due to a long journey he is about to make, he will not be here for the next Cup.  :'(

We all hope this event will grow stronger and stronger once people realise how much fun there is to be had in killing people.

We are pleased to announce that the next Champion's Cup will go ahead as scheduled for the first Saturday in June.  The time though is different.  It will be held at 2100 GMT in the Dlayo Pit of the arena.

<Diamond Claw> is pleased to announce that for the next Champion's Cup, the esteemed SIR HANGATYR will be employed as the Referee.

His considerable knowledge and fighting experience makes him an excellent choice.

To enlarge more upon the Rules of Battle:-

1.  it is important that all players assemble in the Dlayo Pit 15 minutes before battle commences.  Sir Hangatyr will need to ensure that all players intending to battle are legal and conform to the rules of engagement.  It is also important for there to be a 'warm up' to ensure that all players can target and be targeted.  Players must all stand in the centre of the ring and target a player and attack them NON LETHALLY in order to be sure that attacks can be made once the battle is under way.

2. Contestants can heal themselves but it is technically impossible for another person to heal a contestant.  So the employing of healers will not work.

3.  Mercenaries can take part in this battle on behalf of a guild.  But they must temporarily join that guild at the time of the battle.

4.  Contestants who claim to be a member of a 'secret guild' will not be allowed to take part unless they reveal their guild name.

[The next Cup will take place on 5 June at 21:00 GMT in the Dlayo Pit in the Arena. ]  As was the case for the last Cup, there will be a 'Last Supper' served to all contestants 30 minutes prior to battle, followed by a ceremonial washing.

You may, of course, wash whatever you like.  But it is recommended that you wash at least your hands before taking up your weapons.

Ceremonial pails of holy water will be provided for this purpose and we would suggest that each warrior take a moment to reflect upon his life before cleansing himself.  This is a solitary act performed by the warrior himself.
