A very nice idea!  I have muted music since it made gameplay laggy. Now I can listen to the soundtrack from Itunes!  Songs are beautyful, some do not sound familiar though. But then... its been three years when I listened to the music while playing!

1) music is continuous, in EVERY game the music stops for awhile, in between songs, and you just have the background music (birds, wind, etc)

I hate it when games have no continuous music. I didn't even know that there are people who like that better, I thought it was just a flaw in those games because their musicians are unable to produce music that loops well. Then again, PS music doesn't loop well (especially e.g. the theme music), and it'd probably be better off to have a pause before restarting.

Funny, I've never played ps with sound enabled. Will have to listen to this one day.
I have no clue what planeshift's music sounds like .. but I really dont like games that beat the same repetitious track into your head over and over. To be silence is better than repetition.

Rigwyn might I aak what games you can think of that do a good job on the bg music not being repetitive, I'm always looking for ideas ^.^

Honestly, I can't say I ever came accross a game who's bg music I liked... But i'll listen to the ps bg music and tell you what I think

This is great, thanks!  My only comment is that giving each track a different artists makes this kind of a pain to listen to in something like Amarok without re-tagging.  I realize you probably want to give credit where it's due, but I'd consider re-tagging each track with something like "Planeshift Team" as the artist.
