Faction wars

It would be Sweet to have like faction wars in the plot, where certain big or pivotal factions or guilds have like a battle.  They would fight and it would push along the storyline, and then change the whole Planeshift Universe, by losing or gaining certain territory for Factions/Guilds  Ex.  On Friday 6 PM, all members of ______ Faction fight the members of _____ Faction to take a piece of territory or something else important.  To have like big battles to get alot of people involved at one time.  It would bring alot of traffic to the site and get alot of people to download it.  And also to be able to buy land and houses, or to build or pay someone to build a house for you would be nice.

Big guild battles/citizen battles have lots of threads of them... But keep in mind that the game has pretty much no pking other than the arenas. I think that there\'s already a thread up on something simliar on the 1st or second page. I\'d like to just see a guild mode, where both guilds are hostile to each other, and they can attack whenever they see another member. That would be cool if you were following your caravan, when you get the notice in guild chat that we just went to war with another guild. Suddenly that other guild ambushes up! Owaahhaaa. Something like that I like. But fractions as a bigger guild is cool, kinda like political parties. You can be a Balloon guild member, but you can also be a joystick fraction member.

In MMORPGS faction is usually in reference as to how others feel about you, factions are groups, and yes players may be a faction?but it is usually in reference to NPCs.

Guilds are group of players, in some cases there are NPC guilds that players can be part of while being part of PC guilds.

In truth we plan for PS to have many more different types of groupings and have the line of NPC groups and PC groups merge and blend in some cases and be totally separate in others.
